Paddy Galore!
My number one favourite holiday destination is Cuba, many of the other islands in the region are great but Tobago comes second on my list. Colombia is very good and China is great. My native India has many wonderful places but I am not inclined to return. I don't blame you, last time I was in india I had near constant diarrhoea! my favourite places are the greek islands Edited December 16, 2014 by Paddy Galore! malkiserow
I don't blame you, last time I was in india I had near constant diarrhoea! my favourite places are the greek islands India is very simple ...... Eat vegetarian cooked food and you are unlikely to go wrong. A tot of whisky at night will also help kill any bugs in your stomach.

keg
I have begged the wife to agree to a holiday here with little effect, Has anybody ever fancied the Cook Islands its on my to do list Did the Cookies back in 1999, just a nice relax on the way to a wedding in NZ. It's was gorgeous then. As many have said, the UK has some fabulous places. Did Pearl Harbour on another NZ trip, the lack of solemnity and reverence was shocking. Codeye
I did pea.rl harbour on an anniversary it was as sombre as it gets as the launches were silent as we reached the memorial wall not a dry eye and half the tourists were japanese
keg
This was just a normal day and having seen the solemnity of the French war graves, it surprised me. As you say, half the visitors were Japanese as well.
SuperGoose75
My best ever Holiday was Canada. My relatives own "Knight inlet Lodge" on Vancouver Island. A wilderness retreat with Grizzly tours and Whale watching amongst other activities. You have to get a Float plane to the lodge. Many close ups of the bears. One morning Stands out in particular. We kayaked down the inlet very early one morning. It was misty and porpoise's where breaking the surface of the water, teal and wigeon where flying about and we came to a river where a bear and her cub where by the rivers edge.the raft of kayaks sat in amazement and awe very near to the bears.A very special moment. I also fished and caught and lost a couple of coho Salmon.Helped one of the workers with a mornings catch of crab and Shrimp which we had that evening for dinner. Sat in the jacuzzi out on the pontoon at night with the noise of seals hauling themselves onto the platform and the mountains all around us "i wouldnt say what me and the Mrs got up to in the jacuzzi . Made our back to the mainland and took over two weeks driving through the Rockies to Calgary taking in all the sights including jasper and Banff .One experience that stands out was the Hotsprings in jasper.Relaxing in natural hotsprings "outside" and the snow covered Rockies all around.Took in Some Goose and Duck shooting,Stayed with another relative in his log cabin "Which they built themselves" in the sticks..Took in the Rodeo in Calgary,Done the largest Waterslide in the World at the time in Edmonton and much more. The wife is far more traveled than I' and likes the Hot places..Ive been to the Caribbean, Several parts of Spain and the Canary islands. Love the relaxed pace of Paris and the fast pace of London. The wife has been to Australia' but it doesnt interest me..I would like to go to Iceland ,Norway,Thailand for the food Culture and also as a western fan would like to visit Monument valley. And i nearly Forgot' Norfolk is also a must visit for me.

100milesaway
Having been a travel agent in a past life, a proper one not a holiday shop, I have travelled extensively, I have many favourites for different reasons.Mauritius for the hotels, Seychelles for the beaches,Jordan for the beautiful wilderness in the mountain areas around Wadi Rum, Argentina for the diversity from the jungles in the north to the stunning mountain glacier area in the south and the immaculate clean city of Buernas Aires.New Zealand as it reminds me of my old fashioned values of a lost England. Istanbul my favourite city which says quite alot coming from me as I normally detest citys. Egypt for the history. If I had to choose a cruise and I have done plenty, that would have to be a week on the Delta Queen the oldest overnight paddleboat steamer in the world sailing between Memphis and Nashville on the Tenneessee`,Cumberland,Kentucky and Mississippi rivers. A look at real America. There are hundreds of places of fame that I have visited but have to say that most of these once wonderful sights are lost to mass tourism.from Auntie. Only been to a few! Rhodes, Skiathos, Alonissos, Skopolos! I would love to go to Crete. Done Morroco, Portugal, Germany, Russia, Ukraine, Malaysia, Australia, France, and Spain. Still want to see America off the beaten track, and Canada. Would also like to visit Thailand and Vietnam. Still plenty of time for that! SuperGoose75
Just looked up this place online, it looks fantastic and I have sent through an inquiry, it's something my wife and I have wanted to do for some time. It is an Amazing place. There are loads of Videos on youtube of the place and just recently I watched Michaela strachan visit the place on her Really Wild show. Unfortunately the original lodge went up in flames a couple of years back' But Big Dean is not a man who lets the "Grass grow under his feet" heres a vid shortly after the fire I am sure you and your Wife would love it. Videos or pictures dont do the place justice' only when you land and step of the float plane will realise what beautiful surroundings you are really in. ATB SG.
