BSA-airgunner
i wanting to try ppu in 223 does any one have any views on this ammunition and im looking for a local supplier west sussex .....
Fisheruk
As I have said many times on here, my Tikka T3 loves it. Certainly matches the limitations of me the shooter. At circa £10 per box it is not worth me reloading.
foosa
I use it in 100g 243, gives me under an inch and flattens roe deer no problem.
scobydog
Use 130 and 150 grain in my 270, no problems at all on roe or reds, use 45 grain in 22 hornet, works well on the foxes, rabbits and hares. S
Alpha Mule
I have used them in my .22-250 and it is as accurate as an accurate thing! My issue is that it hits too hard. 55g punches a hole right through foxes. Before anyone gets on their soap box: I always ensure proper back-stops, but,,,, I prefer the ballistic tip jobbies. If you are happy hitting them hard, I recommend PPU 100%
steve_b_wales
Used it in my .22-250, .243 & .308. Had good results everytime. It may not be match accuracy, but I'm only shooting foxes. The SP .243 flattens on impact and does the job perfectly. I've never had a fox run when shot, and they have dropped on the spot.

Underdog
My old 357 loved the 158grn magnum fmj. Good brass too. U.
robbiep
In my case, my Steyr Mannlicher in .223 doesn't really like them that well - about 3-4 inch groups at 100 metres, that's been with the 55 or 69gr. However, an even cheaper alternative, the RWS GECO in 55 grain is fantastic. If I do my part, it will consistently group an inch. Only problem I seem to have is finding the RWS. dan221081
I have used these in a .308 and they were very accurate. However they kicked like a mule. In a smaller calibre I am sure they are fine. Powerful rounds....
Vince Green
I use it all the time and all my friends use it as well. The only problem for us is the local gunshop refuses to stock it, a lot of dealers wont because they don't make enough profit from it i believe. Its very good ammo, good cases too Edited February 9, 2015 by Vince Green
safc1973
Try MBR Sporting - http://m-b-r.co.uk/HTML/cf_ammo_prices.php based in Surrey usually has PPU in stock.

Dekers
I am fortunate with PRVI I use .223 55g SP .243 90g SP .308 150g SP They all deliver 1" in my rifles, and for my applications that is good enough. Not everyone is so fortunate, and I would suggest you try a box in yours before buying in bulk!
jason kaye
My Sako 85 in .25-06 is not keen on them 100g about 2 to 3" groups at 100 yds. my Browning Eurobolt in .270 loves the 130g and 150g under an inch at 100 yds.

Thunderbird
I've got a Browning A-Bolt in 223 and it's OK with Privi, but much better with reloaded rounds using the Privi cases. To be honest it's accurate enough to 100 yards with PP, just a lot better with reloads.
LeadWasp
Have you tried Raker in Petworth or Old Mill Guns just down the road from there too. Sussex Armoury in Chichester? Admittedly I don't know if they do stock but it's only a quick call to find out.
