Thanks for posting , nice to see them floating down into the decoys like that .

You seemed to have problems on a couple of occasions when you had birds all over you and you did not manage to get a shot off , was you wondering which to shoot and lt the chance slip by ?

Thanks for the comments lads, at some stages I could not make my mind up witch one to fire at, and you were right about the wind guys it was blowing from the east but I did get plenty of shots of and managed to get some birds.

I thought that is what was happening , just pick a bird and stick with it , dont go changing your mind half way through because another seems easier , worry about picking a second when you have killed the first :good:

Great video mate :good: as Fenboy mentioned, you do seem a little hesitant when you have a few commiting to your pattern, lock onto one and pull the trigger as soon as the bird has committed to the pattern you'll bag many many more as your permission isn't shy on the pigeon front mate. Pattern and hide seem a good set up, just a little hesitant but that is easily adaptable pal..as for your choke I don't see any issues everybody gets pricked birds no matter what choke you use.

Great vid nice set up and oh ye Happy Birthday :good:

nowt wrong with your video mate , I enjoyed it . like others have said pick your target and stick with it ,

also if you don't mind me giving you another tip , when you get a small group of birds come to your pattern , IF you can try to hold off till the birds at the back are within range ,and take one of them first . that way the ones at the front will still be well in range for your second shot , you will increase your chances of doubles .

Thanks guys all comments are welcome , I will try to employ some of the tips next time I am out.

That was the best day I have had on my own since taking shooting back up and I am still learning something new every time I go out.

you dither to much lock on and get one shot. choke looked a bit to open to me a lot of birds pricked, but that's just me, every body to there own way of shooting. sorry for the moan .

Not sure about the choke theory. I don't want to sound negative, but I think it was mainly down to poor shooting. I think an experienced gun would have killed at least 100 if the video is anything to go by.

If I could give you any advice, Derick, it would be (although the wind was in your face) to bring the pattern a few yards closer to you. Also, be quicker to shoot the birds. Too often, you let nice, close crossing birds turn and start to get out of range.

Looks like winds blowing towards you, you're going to struggle getting a decent bag on these. As said, good honest vid though

I don't necessarily agree. Although I try to avoid wind in my face situations, it is still perfectly possible to kill good bags with the wind in that direction.
