She's damaged goods now, Andy Burnham is in the pocket of the unions, Liz Kendall is another Oxbridge ex special advisor and the other guy seems good but he's a real unknown, he may be on the way up but he's not at leadership level.

So who is left? nobody thats who

No suprise that she has put herself up for the leadership. She has the face and skills of a ****house rat.

I don't think she is unattractive physically, in fact the opposite! but her personal manner does need a bit of work? Lol

Fisherman Mike - some politicians manage to hide the fact that they are not very bright and convince some that underneath that dumb exterior, lurks a sharp mind.

Think Yvette Cooper, Nicola Sturgeon, Alex Salmond. I don't rate any as the sharpest tack in the box, full stop.

the thing with Yvette Cooper is that she has been in the political arena for a good while and knows the tricks, she also has Ed Balls on her side who probably knows the dirt on most and will use it to push his mrs.

A dangerous Woman, but an extremely dangerous partnership.

I believe she is much more astute than people give her credit for...and I don't think her appearance is an indication of her ability..

Carlos Tevez is an ugly mother but one hell of a footballer.

The first rule of engagement...never under estimate your opponent.

True Mike but ..... Whoever gets the job even our Lord himself ....The Tory press will be standing by to slate them ... Mail will have their cartoonists on stand by ..... Express ..... Leo McKinstry poison pen in sweaty hand.

Two of those you've highlighted above though have done pretty well for a couple of blunt tacks. Exclamation Mark.

I don't FM it's not just the looks, it's the morals and politics, you have to be bright to get through Harvard & Oxford so clearly a bright girl but hardly a working class upbringing.

You have hit the nail on the head, Labour is not Labour anymore, there is nothing about the party now that reflects the old principles it once stood for. Whats more, it doesn't represent the people it was created to represent.

Society has moved on, a party pandering to the needs of a single element of the public demographic will wither and die. Look at trade unionism as an example, which was an extension of Labour really, most unions have significant challenges in maintaining memberships.

The old values of representing the working man, (very noble), evolved into championing the cause of the poorer in society, (still noble), which morphed into supporting an unnecessary large welfare state, at the expense of everyone else, which isn't sustainable. The SNP have done very well capturing the Labour vote in Scotland because it promises a large welfare state and people want something for nothing.

Unclear as to how you define "done pretty well". They have done their level best to bring Scotland to it's knees.

As for winning seats - just what are their seats worth? They can't push through their own agenda or block the Tories. Paper tigers.

Ah but they will have their excuses well prepared for your second point. Its Westminster, its the Tories, its the English, its all one big anti Scottish conspiracy etc They will turn it around without doubt
