malkiserow
I keep reading on PW about people getting one ragged hole but I simply cannot achieve it whatever I try to do. Maybe I am not wrong as the grouping is OK ..... but I cannot get it right with the "one ragged hole" Here is where I am at.... 100m distance Bipod used laying on the ground no moderator hunting rifle (7lb) 7.2mm bullet dia N550 powder fed 210 primers. Winchester cases used once FLS 5p for reference Not sure what to try next for a ragged hole? Edited May 19, 2015 by malkiserow

Underdog
You have reloaders ocd setting in. Stop shooting at paper. You need to divert your energy now. That aside, never liked the V550 stuff. A friend struggled with it (not that you are!). U.

Vince Green
All reloaders on forums get consistent one ragged hole. Didn't you know? And they never post the other twenty that look like shotgun patterns

I've just bought some 162 grain Amax so I need to start all over again now ! At least I know I've a good 120 grain hunting load I've the mod sorted out for this gun so it may reduce flip Now I just need to buy a proper scope for this gun. johnphilip
I think you are shooting a bit low with the 5p, that could be the problem :-)
Dunkield
Have you let a 'one hole shooter' shoot a group with your rifle?
malkiserow
Have you let a 'one hole shooter' shoot a group with your rifle? mick miller
I have done it once with a load I developed, on one day. Same load, different day, different me and my groups looks like yours (and oftentimes worse) - but plenty good enough. Stop now and just shoot it, it's good enough to get the job done. Hang on, I just looked at your photo again - that is better than my best group - poke another hole in it and you've got a ragged hole! 1066
Yes, nice group - rifles/shooters that can regularly shoot sub .5moa are rare (except on the internet ) Here's a couple of .2 moa 5 shot groups, 100 and 220 yards, the black patch is 2cm, the same size as a penny. welshwarrior
it is by no means the funniest thing I have said or done this week. Anymore phone boxers Homer? Only time apart from bench rest shooters I'd be more than happy with that group and I'm sure anything you hit with it will not complain either. Dead-Eyed Duck
My answer to such 'One hole' comments is always that I really appreciate your skill in doing that. Would you mind if I come with you the next time and I am quite happy to pay you £50 for the privilege and the learning curve. Oh, and by the way, if you cannot do it then you will have to pay me £250. I've had no takers so far....
