The Mighty Prawn
I'm probably failing my man exam but what's a striker? Apart from the footballer, the thing on a matchbook and the armoured vehicle?

shoot and be safe
How big is his garden and how big is his strimmer? 5 hours is a fair amount of time. Has he stopped to fill up with fuel? Are you sure it's not a sound effect playing to get you back for popping off pigeons and crows in your back garden while he's trying to watch Coronation Street? southeastpete
Sounds a bit long. Has a neighbour annoyed him, and he just taped the strimmer to be permanently on and left it?
Davyo
Good and proper, flat out on the lawn & the strimmer is in two bits.Blokes never done a days work in his life but can play with a strimmer for over 4 hrs when those that do come home and want to relax. The bloke that's knocked him out works for a courier firm so probably been out since early hours and his young wife will of been trying to get the baby over. Lloyd90
It's a result that your neighbour has "laid out" your other neighbour and you think he deserves a pint for doing so ? I'm glad I don't live in your street. And if you didn't have a licence you'd have assaulted him yourself. Lovely place your from I bet lol
guss109
That's me screwed then as I won't be able to work on at nights now with the weather being fine. Paddy Galore!
I had to giggle at this, when we started doing the lawns and hedges this season we couldn't get a start until one sunday afternoon, over the hedge we heard a "**** off" from a neighbour down the way, not sure where, probably from one of the white trash council houses over the road, but after shouting back "******* make me ya gob ******!" it all went quiet again so we carried on. it took us a few hours what with a fairly long leylandi hedge but we were done by 6, I do feel for davyo though, after 8 in the evening is beer supping time in this weather. millrace
so your not allowed to garden during the day/evening...... sorry but your way out of line and the guy that assulted him is also wrong, after 9ish in evening fair enough ive got tractors past me till 11 when they cut the silage should i now go out punch one of them and tell them to stop,, dont think so if its as bad as described would have thought youd be glad to get it tidy up......but hey ho guess its true you can pick a house not a neighbour..... . shoot and be safe
To be honest, there is nothing (apart from respect towards you surroundings) to stop you from using any "noisy" equipment (strimmer, lawn mower, hammer drill, chainsaw etc) up until 23:00hrs. After that time you will be breaking the noise abatement act and can face possible prosecution. I have in the past had a range of my chainsaws running upto and even past 23:00hrs on a summers evening. Luckily my neighbours wanted the fallen trees cleared aswell won't tell you why they were down though I must have annoyed them a little bit, as they didn't offer me a cup of tea or piece of cake so I kept the logs
