fenboy
I think even vermin deserve one day off , but as far as I am aware its legal in England and Scotland . Northern Ireland is different and no wild birds can be shot on xmas day.

rjimmer
Keep thinking i may take a breast of one to try as they decoy & eat them in Norway but them again maybe not. Don't bother! A local keeper, on an estate with a license, opened one up to see what it had eaten. It's stomach was full of parasitic worms. he surmised that this worm burden was the reason for them having to eat so much.

If i grow a bigger set i might just try a bit of breast one day.

Wilts#Dave
I'll happily shoot pigeons on Sunday's but Christmas day, no I really don't think it's the thing to do.....it's only one day a year so I'm sure its not much of a hardship to refrain! geordieh
To me it is all about morals and respect if you don't have any you will shoot on Christmas day.Bit like shooting through the 2 minute silence in November
Scully
If you don't like it then don't do it, but to criticise those who do is simply ridiculous. Each to their own.
