It would be interesting to know where it is made

I have googled and unable to find anything

I suspect made by Miroku in Japan and hand finished in Belgium , shades of the B125 ?

It looks like a fancy B725 based gun , with its , to me , ugly action fences and barrel shoulders

Barrels are monobloc , not demi-bloc like the B25

Forend looks removable , not fixed

For £10k+ I would be looking for a mint secondhand custom sideplated B25

That level of engraving doesn't come cheap and if Beretta can get away with dressing up the 686 and calling it the Jubilee then surely Browning can do the same with the 725 and call it B15. At least you can see what you're paying for with the B15 - unlike the Krieghoff I was looking at the other day selling for £11,000...

I think they have the b25 forend lock up so not an exact 525 action, but are finished in Belgian from parts from Japan.

Should be nice and do look nice pity they weren't out 5 years ago when I bought my famars as although pretty wasn't exactly reliable.

But that is long gone with a b2g replacing it and and an mk60 HP as the spare

The forend latch is bog standard Miroku/Citori and not B25, as can be seen here https://www.guntrader.uk/Guns-For-Sale/Browning_Shotgun_B15_For-Sale_160210162915006

The 3 piece wood is only on certain models

Strangely the gun has been out since 2015 and on sale , but not a single review to be found

The reviewer who cannot be named( I will try , ********** ) is usually all over a new model Browning like a pimp on crack...but not a peep.

Certainly got the looks, but then at close to £10k for the entry level version they should be a bit special. I just cant see them flying off the shelves at that price because at the end of the day its not a B25. As has been noted, they tried this with the B125 which never really took off.

I`m with dodeer, if some kind relative beqeathed me £7K, I would chop in my B2G LWG and trade up to a secondhand C or D grade.

Interesting that this thread has had nearly 250 views and no-one has said they are cashing in their ISAs tomorrow !

I am considering ... if i do I would purchase the grade d as it has game engraving rather than scroll, circa £10k

I am waiting for one to come in... at the end of the day does not matter how pretty the gun is its how it fits me ,, and if it feels right .. I won't know that until I hold it ..

ill keep you updated :good:

B15 (HAND FINISHED B725)

This looks like a 725 but finished in Belgium. The classic B25 three piece fore-end is false but made to look like a three piece. Price circa £10-£16K. I love Browning but I'd also consider a Beretta S05 or DT10 EELL Side Plate. An old Gun Smith once said:- English Guns have quality built in whilst "others" have it added on. Maybe this is true of Belgium Browning's, that said there is nothing to fault over a Japaneses CNC gun and there are plenty of hand built guns that are poor quality compared.

I'd like to see a Sporting Configuration for those who don't put the gun away at the end of the season. This gun does not have ventilated ribs and is a game model. At this price you can acquire a second user B25 which may well value up better and remember you could also have change in your pocket to have the B25 refurbished.

THE ISA TEST

The B15 does look very nice and there is a market for such a gun. It follows in the footsteps of the B125, a well engineered gun but barrel heavy unlike the B25. My view however is that at between £10 to £15K the gun must be an investment AND VALUE UP as indeed a B25 does. Will a hand finished (B15) B725 ever fall into this group - the jury remains out.

Cheers B25M

By the time we get them in with the strong Euro they'll be £11K soon enough! Then we'll leave Europe and it will be £12+

They look nice though but they are Perazzi money and more.

brexit it or not I would bet large that the euro will weaken v ££....so in few years it could be 9k!

Oddly enough I actually saw a chap using a B15 last Sunday at our club - never heard of them before but the Woodwork caught my eye and I asked if I could look at the gun - OMG - cannot explain how stunning they are cos the swear filter would have a field day but, my God, an absolute work of art - simply beautiful.

Yes, forgetting what one could buy with the same money I have one on my Xmas list...in the year I win big on the PB's or lottery.

So let me see, we need to be in the EU in order to trade with the EU. Yet this gun is made in Japan and finished in the EU because it is too expensive to make in the EU, but not outside the EU and then imported halfway across the world! So apart from Beretta it is no longer possible to make guns within the EU, just finish them!

Maybe all "would-be" Browning owners should vote for exit. Europe has zero growth, record unemployment and lacks direction and identity. I'd put money on a fall in the euro and a rise in the pound. Cheaper Browning's, cheaper Beretta! Also the dreaded VAT. Remember, the EU controls VAT as well as most other things!

PPS: Not to mention the EU anti gun lobby's equally illogical "White Paper" that proposes an outright ban on legal gun ownership in order to stop illegal gun use caused by legally open borders permitting illegal guns to be driven across borders with immunity.

I ask you why close borders when you can ban all legal gun ownership for legal gun use in spite of its absence from illegal use. Sounds like political posturing from an EU bureaucrat that doesn't worry about getting democratically elected.

Who knows an independent Britain may be good news for honest legitimate gun ownership at a reasonable price.
