Lord Geordie
Been in touch with the banks fraud team, they said contact Paypoop. Rang them and it was rather good! A bit of a wait to be connected, but passed to the relevant dept and spoke to an Irish fella who has opened cases against the multitude of withdrawls! In total they tried to get near £1000. But someone at PayPal or the bank must have been on the ball as a lot of payments were refused! In the end they only got just over £400 but the chap said it would be approx 24 hours for the investigation! And he should get all of his money back Chris seems a lot better now too! TIGHTCHOKE
Let's hope it gets sorted out properly, that your son can return to some sort of normality and that the scrote (whoever he is) gets his comeuppance!
keg
Sorry to hear LG, count me in for £20.00 as well if you change your mind, your lad has saved long and hard. Agree with everything everyone else has said.
Loki
Hi Sorry to read Lord G - I'm in for donating £20.00. Hope all settles down soon for you. L
marsh man
Just goes to show by reading all the above posts there are still a lot more good guys about than the odd arxxhole who have got no remorse what so ever and who wouldn't think twice stooping that low . If a fund is set up to help your lad please include me in it . Good luck with the outcome .
rwade545
Same thing happened to my misses, a week before Christmas. PayPal were very helpful and money was returned to her in around 48 hrs. Still very distressing for her but you should get it back. As L.G is does not feel he can accept a donation maybe we could arrange for an activity/ something to help take his sons mind off this? rodp
If LG won't accept the fund (and I can see why) then perhaps someone else can organise the purchase of a printer and we'll just post it to LG's son Someone must know (A) how to sort out a collection, and (B) LG's address? Just a thought.
Lord Geordie
No please! Thanks again guys! I find it reassuring that others here have had experience and got everything back! If he ends up short then I will sort that myself! As I say I appreciate the very kind gestures! But can not accept them! Your words of comfort are more than enough! Thankyou again! B25Modelman
My daughters bank account was emptied by £2500. Very strange, the TL ordered clothes, shoes, hand bags to that value. Daughter had a card in the doorr which said we tried to deliver these items today but you were out...she was in all that day. The card stated the goods have been taken back to our base at Reading. Somehow the TL collected them from there. Because the transaction was with a shop she had not used previously the bank paid her out the very same day. Now this still strikes me/us that the courier company or someone working within it or friends with someone played a part.

BrowningB525
Turn on 2-step verification on his (and your) paypal accounts. That way even if someone gets your password, you will be notified when they try to access your account. PayPal will have a log of the IP address of whoever transferred the money which will clear up whether the account the money went to was compromised as well. I must say, it seems incredibly stupid to steal money from someone you know and transfer it to your own email address. Unfortunately PayPal will hide behind "data protection" if you try to get any info out of them.

Children (myself included at that age) have terrible passwords. His passwords are different for everything and like a multitude of @*#-"!? In the passwords too! He has a good faculty for remembering with him being autistic! He just reels off loads of stuff quite efficiently! Just hope Monday paints a better picture! If not I will have to get in touch myself!
