mick miller
Henry Krank are idiots that should know better then. The head is the other end (the blunt end), a case is what you put the powder in (and has a head), a bullet is a bullet (but can have a tail). casts_by_fly
I think he's asking about 22 LR in which case I don't think there is a pointed bullet. Soft lead bullets in the 22LR are round nose basically. In the 22 WMR you can get ballistics tips (33 gr I think) and obviously in the 22 centerfire you can get plenty of pointy ones. In the 22LR, a soft lead bullet would get damaged in your pocket, in transit, while loading, etc if it had a sharp point to it. And, there is no real benefit to it. The main benefit is ballistics, but the ballistics on the 22LR are so bad that it wouldn't really help. There are some good old boys in the south of the US that carry bullet shapers for the lead 22LR bullets, but mostly they are making bigger hollow points or flatter noses for shooting squirrels. thanks, rick
Vince Green
A lot of .22 rifles have tubular magazines is probably as good a reason as any.
malkiserow
If the OP is referring to the .22 lr then many of the bullets are also a hollow point so cannot be pointed
activeviii
They, like others, call them bullet heads because it makes it easier for the I'll informed. Dauntsey Guns have the right idea and call them projectiles just to help others lmao
1066
I notice that Henry Krank, quite correctly, call the "pointy bit" just bullets in their full page advert in the NRA journal. Maybe they have to change the wording depending on how well they think their target audience is informed.
dob
Maybe they should be called " the pointy end that make things fall over"
