what is the interpretation of this and what could it be used as...

  1. new doorway to the houses of parliament
  2. entrance to dolphin square
  3. a statue for trafalger square representing the view of the british people by the politicle class

just cant put my finger on it at the mom,ent.......any ideas ?

am i missing something ?

im just getting old i guess.......

thats not a good place for a beautiful women to be standing...(not from around here anyway.....very poor diet in the norfolk marshes)

Have you seen the one that won what a pile of ****.

It's NOT that GOOD!

Once again the luvvies are being lauded and if you speak up and say it's all carp you get accused of not understanding what the artist was trying to do.

Id suggest anyone who does understand what the artist was trying to do needs locking up. Never seen such a pile of rubbish passed off as art in long time.

Totally agree, but Tracy Emin's unmade bed a couple of years ago came pretty close to this years pile of carp.

Also agree with Chris Bb that Turner would be very restless in his grave particularly at some of the 'modern' exhibitions that they have at the Turner Gallery in Margate. To quote Catherine Tate in her Grandma sketch "What a pile of ****"

It's like that eejit who won because he turned the lights off and on loads of times and then come in and everyone in the audience was like "erm..." But he probably said "there you go, that was it"

Next thing, they all don't want to be seen to 'not get it' so they started making it up and he won.

Like that mate everyone has who's a real 'wine connoisseur' who can taste almondy strawberry teacake in a glass of vino.

  • 2 weeks later...

There was a great cartoon when the bricks was exhibited. It showed 2 suited experts looking at the bricks, one says to the other "It's a fake". Time Team did an episode on the whereabouts of the Fighting Temeraire and traced it to a muddy river bank. It had been used as a hulk or some sort of coastal lookout. A few years ago we drove up to Derry to see the Turner Prize exhibition. We were having a laugh around a blank part of the room "Now this I like " sort of thing. It was an entry in the Competition!!!!! If it had won the artist would have got a check for whatever it is K10 or something for.........nothing. Great weekends drinking though.
