Am I right in thinking you're trying to accuse us of double standards here?

Dont you not want people to have a chance to discuss things in a grown up manner first? We do, which is why we try to let things run if possible.

So, do you want it closed now?

If so I'll make sure to leave it up so the people who get upset when we do close stuff can see that there are some on the forum who try to get stuff shut down just for the fun of it, and that you are one of them.

Let me know and I'll hit the lock button, just for you B25Modelman.

Thank you Zap, I think we should be able to talk about this type of issue and like you said so long as the replies are kept civil there is no reason to lock the topic.

so guys please keep your replies civil, even though like me you may feel really angry and want to say it like it is.

It's worth taking a look at 'cultural appropriation', one of the latest ideas and attacks to come from the cultural marxists. It can be considered racist to appropriate elements of one culture, such as dress, from other cultures. Ironically, this is something I suspect the gentleman in question who I cannot quite see might like to consider. He might choose to ask himself if he is racist himself. We have reason to be concerned.

I cannot help thinking that when people see and hear this type of behaviour they will become less tolerant and tar every none white English person with the same brush, its perhaps part of the reason why so many people said emigrants and immigration was one of their main concerns with regards to Brexit and their vote to leave.

racism is a huge industry, to me, the vast majority of this so called racism is glorified name calling.

Most people from all races, have racist feelings, its natural, its just that you learn to control yourself and don't get involved.

if someone makes racist remarks, people should laugh and shrug it off like big boys, anything else plays into the industry.

I lived next door to a black lady for years, I asked her if since living here since the 60's, had she encountered racism, she laughed and said no, only stupidity, and she kept loads of golliwogs in her window, which she loved.

the real racism is positive discrimination, absolutely despicable.

p.s what is racsit.............

right thanks for sorting that out, Its obvious now, he was the bloke who invented the hangover cure

Well, his grand-dad invented Beecham's pills, but I wouldn't have used them for a hangover.

Wasn't it Archie Andrews who invented the liver salts?

In the town where I live, and throughout the Fens, Molly Dancing is a long held tradition.

The local school children and various Molly Dance groups perform Molly Dances through the town at varies festivities but particularly on Plough Monday.

They always black up their faces but this is to symbolise the faces of the ploughmen being blackened by the Fen soil.

Last year when the children performed I saw that they now only had a single stripe of black down their noses. I assumed that this was because they now had a black/*****/coloured/ethnic/Afro/non-white*** child in the class.

Seems like we have to subjugate all of our cultures these days

***please delete so as to cause least offence.

Blimey, the swear filter has deleted a perfectly acceptable alternative to the word black and yes, it did begin with N but not THE N word. :/

Gets even more ridiculous, Shrewsbury Folk Festival bosses said dancers wearing full black face paint will be banned from next year.....http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-shropshire-37172500

Some years back the wife and I went to Kenya, we went to a traditional African dance and guess what they had their faces painted white, It never entered my head to jump up and shout "racist"

PC gone wrong. The morris dancers should boycott the festival.

Well, just look at my username to see what I do. I have heard this many times before and I will hear it many times in the future. I don't black up as I dance in all whites but i do it a) for the fun, b)it gets me loads of free beer and c) because I'm English and proud to be so.

Anyone want to join?

You cannot say that any more, you are a British Citizen and you will have to start referring to your fellow Morris men as 'Zie' and not he or she.
