Theresa May has every right to go on the attack because she knows that the EU does not do compromise. Its a load of willy waving egotists who want only to demonstrate their personal omnipotence.

That's why the EU was never going to work and why we have to get out

i take a different view on this.................

regardless of what sort of meeting may had with yunker...the press release was prearranged........this was not an attack on HMG...may et al....it was a lefthanded swipe and threat to the forthcoming elections in europe....which they couldnt do directly

what "eu" really meant was ..to instruct France...holland...germany...italy...electorate..."look i am the eu and if you dont want to tow the party line and vote OUT we will give you a good kicking"...........now...they cant say that as it will confirm to the electorate what they hyave always suspected...that the eu are a load of tossers...gravy train specialists....so it was directed at us....which when you think about it ...was totally pointless and uncalled for..............

may knows this...but she also knows that her electorate are clueless as to the machinations of goverment deals....................so to harden the vote she gives stick back to yuncker....

the worry of the EU by the EU is getting worse.......................seen what happened this evening !!!!..............wham bam thank you mam.....Blimey Oh Bama turns up on French national TV ENDORSING Macron...........seen that before havnt we....must be getting short of money

its all quite funny really...............just dont forget the EU needs us more than we need them......trade and buissness and good sense will prevail...

You have to admit though, the EU for whatever reason has hardly collapsed, I remember how Greece was going to bring it to its knees, and was going to have to reinstate the drachma, you never hear that story anymore, it is 27 states with one gone AWOL, marine le pen wont be the president on sunday, no matter how I would like to see it, so that's a win for the EU. A lot of people are not seeing the EU for what it is, maybe its just a matter of time, but not this time.

you are quite right ...it aint going to fall apart...(not just yet tho)............but the cracks are there...and nobody is willing to mend them...............the quicker we do the damage limitation on Brexit ..the better....thats when the other 27 are going to be saying...HHmmmm :hmm: ......and the demise of the EU will have nothing to do with the reassurgance of the right wing factions....it will have more to do with nations coming to their senses............

Very little falls apart overnight, but I suspect the long term future for the EU is grim. One of its net contributors is leaving, which means a greater contribution from the other providers. At some point, another country will surely say "Enough is enough".

Quite right, its dead, it just hasn't fallen over yet. The problem is that it can't reform or modify its game because the political inertia is absolutely crippling. It takes ten years to get agreement from all the states to change a lightbulb. What would it take to decide on anything significant?

That's why it is the way it is for Brexit, the only thing the politicians can do is block, they have almost no ability to reach a decision and get it ratified.

I can't claim to be the author - a mate sent me the link. It's short, to the point and accurate. If she can't handle the pressure of doing "7" interviews, on her specialist subject, she should really pack it in.

I don't know who is the more arrogant - her or Corbyn, but after yesterday's disaster, they should seriously consider their positions.

I think their positions will be considered for them at the General Election in June!

Then they can just fade away in to the background and Labour can attempt to rebuild itself along with the others like the Liberal Democrats!

You can see the cogs turning, at an alarmingly slow rate, whenever she has to actually think - rather than trotting out her normal prepared drivel.

I repeat, Labour should pull the plug on her appearing before any cameras - it is beyond a bit of fun. Complete meltdown.
