ips
Whats your budget? Not really got one, depends what's available. I have potentially got stuff to chop in. Not bothered if its cheap or expensive just has to tick the boxes
dipper
I have a s/s/t side by side and needed some work on the trigger.Cost me a arm and a leg .I would never have another one . Two triggers are more useful choice of two chokes.Dipper.
ips
I have a very nice sidelock sxs but after thirty odd years of single trig I find double trigger difficult to drive
Old Boggy
I understand that many older English single trigger side by sides can be very troublesome and difficult to regulate. Personally if going for An older English gun I would stick to double triggers for which the straight hand stock is ideally suited. However, if your preference is for a single trigger then perhaps as has been suggested one in the Beretta range would be more reliable. Guntrader have a few of the following Berettas if your budget is up to £2K Silver Hawk or 626. If your budget is over £2K then the Parallelo (486) as has been suggested or the sideplated 627. Having absolutely no experience of these Berettas, I am not giving my recommendation merely advising what I have seen available to suit your requirements. Perhaps others more qualified can advise on the reliability, handling etc. of the above suggested Berettas. OB
bostonmick
beretta 626e,is a very good gun,i have a winchester 23 a cheaper option to the beretta but as i only use it three or four times a year for some clay comps,i would not spend lots on one,if i was a game shot then maybe a 627eell,

That would be my view as well, but I would add that Spanish (AyA and the like) are around with single triggers, but also don't enjoy a wonderful reputation for reliability of the trigger (though many don't seem to get problems, some do). I do have an AyA single trigger ...... and it isn't 100% reliable .......... and so I normally use a double trigger (also AyA).

Am I missing anything as surely there are other new or nearly new single trig sxs out there..? Yep. Because it's easier to see the various options available on this site rather than the manufacturer's one, and you're prepared to look outside of the usual box, have a look here and drool: www.hortonguns.com/collections/vendors?q=Chapuis Armes Edit: Sorry tried twice but can't get the link to work quite right. I know that they do new side by sides with straight hand stocks but not sure about single trigger.
