London Best
Bet the NITRO version would really kick! I would be interested to know what velocity was being achieved with the black powder.

figgy
London Best, Flippin Eck don't think I'd like to see nitro powder version. The poor chap needed a backstop for himself. Edited October 6, 2019 by figgy

London Best
I think most of the black powder ‘express’ rifles only made about 1600 FPS. That would be about 14000 ft lb energy with a 2500 grain bullet. Many non express black powder rifles were only producing 1250 FPS. Around 8000 ft lb with a 2500 grain bullet. Of course it kicks! Imagine ramping that up to, say, 2400 FPS with nitro powder! THEN it’s gonna really kick you. PS Gizza go!
figgy
After watching the four bore video, That two bore would hurt. Watched a video of a older fella shooting a double elephant gun, assume it was like that double deuce, that gun nearly leapt out of his hands. Just found the video, it's a WW Greener four bore double elephant gun. Edited October 6, 2019 by figgy

Muddy Funker
I love that. 2500 grain bullet, words to the effect of "it's got a very light trigger" Takes hold of gun an points it 45° into the air. 😂👍🏻
