NorfolkAYA
Its a 2 3/4 chamber I believe, just want to make sure in okay with standard steel. Something like eley via steel. Fixed choke 1/2 and 3/4 okay? Cheers pete
greylag
Providing it is 2 3/4 any steel load that is not super steel will do just fine.Make sure the chokes are not over half choke .ELEY,Game bird and quite a few others. Should have read Gamebore.
m greeny
Just stick any 2 3/4 steel load through it will be fine no matter what the chokes are all this tosh about no tighter than half is a load of rubbish

Gamebore super steel 32g 4's can be used through any gun (that is nitro proof) and any choke. 32g 3's are apparently classed as HP steel however and only supposed to go through HP steel proof guns. enfieldspares
I'd worry that steel shot won't be kind on the excellent chromed bores that Baikal shotguns have. If they still have chromed bores?

Thats what the plastic/fibre is for, no pellets really touches the barrels if it works as intended. /M 11 hours ago, m greeny said: Just stick any 2 3/4 steel load through it will be fine no matter what the chokes are all this tosh about no tighter than half is a load of rubbish It works with regards to not being harmful to the gun but the pattern may be rubbish. Test it and see what it looks like. /Markus

Baikals are built very solid though. Chrome bores have very little baring on steel shot usage. Its to protect from corrosion.

London Best
Chrome linings are very hard.
Guest cookoff013
doubt the plastic wad would wear it.
figgy
It's a Baikal, your not going to break it. Put anything that fits the chamber through it.

Guest cookoff013
There are multiple criterias that drift shells to HP. Pellet size =over certain shotsize =HP. Pressure= Over 740 ptmax = HP
