Lateral flow test shortage.

In Chester for a few days before Christmas and they were handing out 20 kit packs to passers by. Tested before visiting anyone but couldn’t see the need beyond that. Otherwise unless mixing in an indoor environment it will only be a test from time to time unless I feel symptoms.

not saying everyone’s like me but can’t see the need for as many as is being suggested by the news.

I’ve had no trouble ordering mine on line. Early morning works for me.

Three of the grandchildren have had Covid this holiday, so testing has been very useful.

The dividing line seems to be be those who have been fully vaccinated and boosted and those who are not.

Which is exactly as they should be used, my Mrs does two a week for school, and we've used them before meeting up with family to make sure we aren't going to take anyone covid.

My daughter was doing one daily on the last week of school because we had covid,  she made it to Thursday morning.

Took a LFT this morning as felt a bit groggy, and it came back positive. Did another which was negative, so went for a PCR. 🤷‍♂️

Then you use one if you feel ill,  let's hope your negative,  but talking to people over Xmas it seems loads of people are suddenly positive but thankfully not seriously ill,  more like NORMAL flu.

Had booked a round of DTL for this morning. Mate is always keen for DTL but I’m indifferent really. Anyhow, got ready but took one as I was working in local pub on New Years Eve, and he has underlying issues. Thought I’d better play safe.
Am supposed to be on BIG shoot tomorrow also. Poop!
Just very mild cold like symptoms so far. OH’s LFT was negative but she went for PCR also.

It's the responsible thing to do, hopefully you get a negative,  but it will likely be too late for the big shoot.

There was a phone in on a breakfast show in early December and one of the women was saying she wouldn't do a LFT before attending any Xmas parties,  with attitudes like that is it any wonder cases have shot up?

Well I have to admit I didn’t take one before going to work that evening, and I don't know of anyone who did. It’s all a bit of a lottery really and just the luck of the drawer; I can’t criticise anyone for not taking one. If you’re not showing any symptoms then there’s no requirement to do so.

Going to take a very long time for folks to realise they have got to live with it. I would estimate on just the few people I meet and talk to are perified.

I'm finding the opposite,  loads of people have had it over Xmas,  but have been jabbed so not really been ill and just seeing it as inevitable, for me it's still just about using your common sense 😁
