well thats your opinion oowee  and you are entitled to it i work in central london for a major courier company and khan has decimated driving vehicles in central london we supply thousands of companies deliveries every day and it will not be long before we can not get to there buildings to do our job khan should spend his time reducing crime and do his best for affordable housing for people to live  fat lot of good sorting out the air  pollution if no one can afford to live in london

I've no liking for Khan but to be fair any mayor will have no choice but to seriously restrict traffic fumes to reduce pollution.

i understand that dave-g but if it was pollution he is sorting out he should ban all cars/vans unless electric instead of that vote losing decision he chooses to hit the poorer vehicle drivers in the pocket to make money  ulez out to the north /south circ is just wrong   i know of a young couple living in lee se12 both working a low paid shop job rent they can not afford and a young baby his dad got him an old ford fiesta as it was cheap so he can get there baby over to him and his wife to childmind in bromley and although they struggled it worked  not they have been hit with ulez £72.50 per week to drive 3 miles   and this sort of thing is happening all over london  its alright for me i have a well paid job can afford new vehicles and can avoid all charges but its the normal hard working people i feel he is stiffing

nothing to do with cutting pollution more making money

My sympathies to your Fiesta friend. I sometimes pass the time buying and doing up minor project cars and often see quite cheap cars on Marketplace that are ULEZ compliant, sounds like he ought to be changing that car to save £70 a week.

they are only young kids dave and have told me they are going to  just scrap the car and his mum will now go over to have the baby for them   its just the poor people that are going to suffer there must be thousands of people affected and i believe khan does not give a monkeys about that fact  i have got to say that being a mayor of london must be a thankless task as everyone will have a pop at you but i do think he has his priorities wrong there is more problems in london than pollution

Jump before push? Should never have been promoted IMO.

Just like her predecessor, the hapless clown Hogan-Howe, **** has presided over a cabal of senior officers who have all looked out for each other's backs. Actual on the ground police work and getting rid of the age old stink of corruption in the Met apparently hasn't been anywhere on the priority list.

Useless as she is, Cressida **** exemplifies the price we have to pay when officially sanctioned diversity trumps ability. The watchword for all meaningful appointments, whether in the police or elsewhere, should simply be merit and fitness for the role,  not some points based process looking primarily at race, gender or sexual orientation.

Succinctly put, sadly will never be put right now that the lunatics are in charge of the asylum? Seemingly ability is never a consideration nowadays? It happened when I was at work, special selection, special terms, special reduction in ability, university access rigged. They had all walked away in 4 months as it was way too ard.

Which is a factor influencing the so called systemic racism and sexism which the police force in general, and the Met in particular, are always being accused of. The reality is that resentment and anger are perfectly natural when exceptional officers are continually being overlooked for promotion simply because they're white males.

There's a clue in the words "equal opportunity" because equal is the very thing it isn't when all too often it's loaded in favour of minorities. Affirmative action, aka positive discrimination, is not a recipe for a successful and effective police force - or anything much else.

The PSNI chief constable has been named among the favourites to succeed Met Police Commissioner Cressida ****, according to reports.
