wymberley
fix a sling swivel stud - albeit for a bipod - into a synthetic stock? I have had a suggestion that involved clamping something on to the gun barrel which the maker proudly boasts is free floating.

I drilled a slightly smaller pilot hole in the stock, then screwed in the stud with some Araldite on it. It's held on for many years. eggy74
as you would with wood, but if you are paranoid it will tear out, fit a helicoil to the stock with the right internal thread for the stud

The RFD I spoke to tended to agree and said about having had to do something with the barrels In the past.
enfieldspares
A solution might be to fix it to the stock like you would on a schutzen type rifle. Essentially a big U shape staple that has one hole one side of the stock and another the other side.
Ultrastu
My bipod on my wildcat is clamped to the air tube . Mate has a weaver rail screwed to the fore stock and the pod clamps to that. Much larger surface area and 2 screws
Velocette
Inlet one of these into the stock where the bipod stud currently is and fix it with araldite. Had one on my 452 for over ten years and its never shifted. If you PM me an address I'll send you a couple.

I can’t help wondering why the makers don’t fit them. As mentioned on another thread, I’m forced into delaying things until the new year at least, but have also discovered the new R10 SE FAC which solves the problem. 👍
sam triple
Got a 3d printed one of these for my S510; from eBay don’t know if something like this will fit yours
arjimlad
My Gamo GX-40 has a moulded circle on the forestock right where a swivel would usually go, with a hollow "pillar" on the inside of the stock. Sorry I don't have a photo, but it looked like it was designed to be drilled with a pilot hole for a swing swivel, so that's what I did. The threads bite the inside of the pillar very well. If you whip the stock off the gun you may find a similar spot on yours.
Gordon R
If the synthetic stock is hollow - epoxy a piece of wood to the inside at the bottom. Just screw into that.
Walker570
The 'plastic' stocks I have had and now have are fitted with a small bolt through with a recess for the thin nut and washer. Dab of super glue on the thread prior to tightening stops the nut coming loose. Far better than a screw which over time can work loose and fail.
