Not real Londoners

An article in Kavanaghers column {who I don't normally bother with was interesting.

Sir Keir Starmer’s Britain? Like the political wasteland known as Wales and divided London

Apparently, Khan thinks that white families don't represent 'true' Londoners?

Ah yes but you have to realise that according to the BBC, this is the brave new world of multicultural Britain. You know, the enormous societal upheaval that hardly anyone wanted and no one voted for.

But, London has been multicultural for an awful long time!

Khan is just a total tool.

The sooner he is slung out, the better.

Unfortunately the inner city boroughs would vote in a donkey as long as it was on a Labour ticket.

Blair's immigration policies have a lot to answer for.

Even a rating of -9 would be streets ahead of the current lemons in power. Its another sad day when neither option captures the imagination. Its a long time since Blare or Thatcher in the first term. Even they were arguably a product of the opposition?

You got that right !

Every time labour gets into power , they make such a mess of the country that the general voting public , even labour supporters, simply cant stand it any longer and vote tory.
Thats not to say the tories are great in any way, but the public know from past experience how bad labour are.
Blair only lasted so long , by emptying the coffers, importing foreign voters, and behaving more like the tories than the actual tories 😆

Ill be honest , I hope labour get in , the public needs a reminder every now and again of how bad a government can really be, because if you think the current 'lemons' are bad, its going to be a 'hold my beer' moment for labour

The same is equally true (if it is true) of the Tories. Any party is worth only a term before the rabid under tones shine through. Seems to me at one time there was at least a manifesto of difference. Now it's more a case (like Brexit some would say) of knowing what we don't like rather than what we do.

More evidence of empire decline.

That would make sense if the 'useless' tories werent well into their 3rd term, with multiple changes of leadership ect, and generally not being very likeable.
There is a reason why the tories have won twice as many elections as labour in the past 100 years, and labour havent come remotely close to winning in the last 13 years.

The demographic of the country has changed considerably , with many newcomers being very supportive of labours open door immigration policies, which is a good job for labour, as otherwise their constant drubbing at elections would be considerably worse.
But the main reason a labour vote lacks credibility , is because their policies and strategies, simply dont make any sense.
You would have to be a couple of sandwiches short to believe otherwise.

'The tory government couldnt do a worse job of running the country' ... Kier : 'Hold my beer'

Maybe its more a case more of saying what we don;t like. Labour has some policies so we dont like them. The Tories have neither policies or principles so the only thing we don;t like is the mess they make of everything they do or don;t do. It takes longer for the public to be worn down

When the likes of Thatcher brought on the Poll Tax or Blair pursued his war aims there was a clear policy to rally against. Now its all just slow decline raising the prospects of the next looney that promises a simple solution to the nations ills in a language that the populace at large can understand.

And there you have it, disdain for the intellectual capacity of the populace.
People arent as stupid as you think, at least the ones that understand politics enough to be bothered to vote.

They see through the blatant economic lies that labour pedal, like 'tax the rich' so everyone can have a free ride.
It doesnt work like that, and people know it.

The red wall came down because you had generations of labour voters who finally realised left wing politics were not the way forward.

You obviously weren't paying tax during the time of Wilson and Callaghan, then, when Healey was "squeezing the rich", who, surprisingly were just the ordinary tax payers.
