I have been really lucky with my bike riding life started in 1976 with a Yamaha fs1e  then Yamaha rd250 then got the bug and had a Yamaha yds7 250 a Kawasaki kh 250 then a Kawasaki h2 750  loved that bike  gold one with twin discs then gree h1 500 then married and mortgage and bikes had to go for a while  still went watching racing and mixed with the British racing crowd and had a go on so many racing bikes I had two kids and then got. A chance to go racing sidecars in 1983 started with a Suzuki 750 in a fiddeman frame then bought George odells seymaz raced that with Yamaha to 500/700/750 engines depending on what race we entered  raced that from 1984-1986 then got a new lcr had that two years and sold that and got another in 1988 retired from racing at the end of 1990 season absolutely loved it after that back to road bikes Yamaha exup 1000 and when that was stolen started getting boring but reliable bikes to commute on had four nt700 deauville great reliable bikes but bloody boring  when I hung around racing I regularly rode other people’s bikes at practice I genuinely feel blessed  also got to say 8 seasons racing had many crashes knocked out a few times but never broke a bone on the road I have had a few accidents and broke quite a few bones but nothing major

I wouldn't say I am biker as such, but having played about with cars for 40 years or so, I fancied  change & thought I would have a go at building a café racer - as they were a thing at the time..

Ended up rebuilding this Z650 from the fame up including building the engine/gearbox/forks/wheels - well pretty much all of.

The pictures are after I sold it on when the new owner took it to The Bike Shed.

I now have a Fantic Caballero Scrambler 500 and a '75 Kawasaki S3a 400 triple
