hedge
I'm looking to buy some new wellies without breaking the bank. I used to have some Hunters and they were okay but the fit wasn't great and they always rubbed a bit. Build quality seemed to be not as good as it used to be. Last pair were some Hoggs of Fife that were pretty good but if I wore thick socks, as soon as my feet got hot I just couldn't get them off. The footbed size was fine but the fit around the ankle was just too tight. It sort of defeated the point of having them if I could only wear thin socks. I've looked at Jack Pyke, Rydale, Harkila and others. I'm sure some come from the same non-UK factories. I use mine for dog walking, outdoor stuff but nothing too full on. My boots usually last me 2 or 3 years. So - what's good for the money? My other half got some Muck boots and really rates them. I've thought of maybe some full zip ones if that would help with the getting them off? Thanks. Edited June 1 by hedge
Yellow Bear
Decathalon - full zip - have a pair that, like you, I use for dog walking, outdoor stuff but nothing too full on that have lasted about 4 years so far. Were about 60quid when I got them so will have gone up now I think. Edited June 1 by Yellow Bear
JohnfromUK
Dunlops (eBay, around £12 a pair). Fine for light duty like dog walking etc. Not the best for a long whole day out, but at 12 quid, excellent value.

TIGHTCHOKE
Well, ALDI copied the Muck Boots some years ago, for £10 I thought I would give them a try. They are VERY good for the money, but they only have them in twice a year.

I bought a pair of parcours Christmas before last. So one and half seasons. Good fitting wellie and comfortable. I do alot of walking on rough ground. But the aigles split, and the natural rubber does not like briars, all the scores from briars, leaving them in fair bad nic, for more splits. Not impressed. Fil
Aigles. (Parcours Vario) Had my pair for 19 years, no leaks, still going strong and I'm bloody bored with them 😁 They've been stalking, shooting, beating and hiking over that time and I would like a new pair just because but I can't resist seeing how long these ones last.
