A decent sou'westerly at last! Well, that's made my mind up; fishing this weekend. Roll on the carp gods for a 50 pounder!!

What's that saying. Something like it's an ill wind that blows no one any good? Hope it blows well for you. 👍

Well we have got a very slight improvement today , instead of the 8 degrees we had yesterday morning it have now shot up to 9 degrees , and after the heavy rain we had it is now only raining as per normal , sitting indoors with an extra jumper on I am as snug as a bug watching the rain hitting my windows .

P S .. Yesterday dinnertime I went and watched the Spanish galleon leave the harbour which was a nice sight , it was a day late leaving because of the bad weather conditions , mind you it was a day late coming also due to the bad weather , so I guess it even things up

I hate the cold and the horizontal rain. Roll on global warming. Mother in law used to moan about how she couldn't put up with the heat after the first sunny day. Luckily the wife hasn't developed the trait.  She is a real fan of the sun. Her mum used to tell her ... your skin will go all leathery.!  But it was mother in law that got skin cancer. Earlier two of our daughters had said that their central heating systems had automatically come on because of the low temperature. We've had two weeks out in Tenerife and we're looking at a further spell out in the sun in Turkey,  Egypt or Morocco.  All you guys that l8ke snow and the ra8n constantly here.

I put my heating on manually when the temp drop down to warm my house up, no point in getting cold if you don't have to  , but a mate of mine was the same as your daughters as his heating came on for two nights this week due to the low temperature , now showing signs of it being slightly warmer at 15 degrees today .  MM

As the day will dawn the weather will change and  people will say " its too hot, I can't put up with it" and the newspaper headlines will  be .... phew, what a scorcher.! ... Well, that's what usually happens.  And the farmers will moan it was TOO WET now it's TOO DRY. The old ryme about Jack spratand his wifecomes to mind.

You would not have needed a shower tray in the gardens this afternoon as we had heavy rain from dinnertime onwards, then about an hour ago it came over as Black as the ace of spades with thunder and lightening , the rain came down like a sheet of water and if that don't knock some of the Winter sown grain crops then nothing will , the cloud cover is now beginning  to break up and hopefully the heavy rain is blown pass as it will soon be time to take my dog out , Have a good weekend .      MM
