JohnfromUK
It seems that some convicted terrorist that we harbour in our midst has spotted a what he sees as a cash cow - and is claiming that pub signs like "The Saracen's Head" cause him offence and so he's claiming (£1850) compensation from the landlord. It is alleged that if this first case is successful he has a number (30) of others similar 'lined up for milking'. The lawyers will of course do well from such cases. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-14196175/Convicted-terrorist-sues-deeply-offended-sign-outside-pub-Saracens-Head-Inn.html Our legal system will be totally in disrepute (even more that it already is) if this goes anywhere except the dustbin. welsh1
“It's now very common to hear people say, 'I'm rather offended by that.' As if that gives them certain rights. It's actually nothing more... than a whine. 'I find that offensive.' It has no meaning; it has no purpose; it has no reason to be respected as a phrase. 'I am offended by that.' Well, so ******* what." Stephen Fry

London Best
The offended party could always go and live in a country which he doesn’t find offensive. With the Saracens, maybe? 1 minute ago, ditchman said: Imajine your mrs telling you she's going down to the Cock with the girls on saturday night......that needs changing an all I wish! To be honest John, I am surprised wh have had one fit for purpose for a while now? Bonkers! I would bet that this action succeeds?
Gordon R
I think the terrorist is one slice short of a full loaf. It's beyond pathetic. Whilst I am happy that it will cost him money, it will also cost the landlord money to defend. Leaving the idiot aside, I think it is a fine portrayal of a Saracen. Why anyone would be offended, scared or suspect racism is just beyond me. The world is getting filled up with more and more numpties.
