Day of the Jackal

It was poor - not a patch on the book and first film.  Nothing can beat Edward Fox’s interpretation and travelling through the French countryside.
Perhaps the title was misleading, as it’s about an assassin, but not assassin from Forsyth’s novel.
On the plus side, I applauded at the denouement at his house.

Him zeroing the rifle was a bit ****. I have not much experience with rifles but I know the security guards would hear a bullet over head and hitting the wall.

Yes have to agree, that was silly, Im half way through and enjoying it........more than black doves.😄

Have yet to watch it but have heard only good reviews from friends.
I enjoyed Black Doves; anything with gratuitous violence in it and I’m there.😄
Am just getting used to a Firestick so searching my way around it, and found Tin Star. I’m a big fan of Tim Roth and it’s quite an old series now, but I’ve never had access to it until now. Still only on the first series but am really enjoying it.
Will watch the new SAS Rogue Heroes or whatever, but having read the book it will be interesting to see how much of it is actually based on fact; much of the first series wasn’t, but I understand how dramas have to work.
