So how many of those under his 'spell' went ahead with his 'suggestion' and injected themselves with bleach, disinfectant ect ?
There were suggestions made from many quarters on how to combat those with serious covid conditions, some more sensible than others.
https://www.npr.org/sections/health-shots/2022/01/18/1073292913/a-year-in-experts-assess-bidens-hits-and-misses-on-handling-the-pandemic

In fact, Biden issued a pre emptive pardon for Anthony Fauci for anything he MAY have done wrong during his time basically in charge of the US covid response. Despite the fact that no charges are pending or planned.
Why would he need to do that ?
Bidens response to covid, was to grunt incoherently about it, then fall over.

Trump talked about it, suggested science look at different ways to fight it, he got involved, and was lambasted for it.
You, for your part take the 'basket of deplorables' opinion and call half of American voters pitiful, for their blind faith in a 'corrupt, hateful man', then throw in a nazi connection for good measure.
Just remember Trump was none of these things to the US media, until he stood for POTUS.

It is immaterial how many 'went ahead'.

I mentioned no Nazi connection to Trump. I simply said that injecting disinfectant was an insensitive suggestion and explained the history. Surely you can see how this might be unpalatable to over 7 million Americans including some in his own immediate family. Brain farts, Trump speaks.

Right back from the '80's or whenever Trump was considered the bad apple in the Big Apple. Later when he was on TV he was just an outrageous orange bully. Then he stood up and offered salvation to the disaffected masses. This puts him very much under the spotlight.

Not really, you mentioned his pitiful followers, why would they not follow their 'gods' advice ?
Interestingly, a (fake) CDC survey conducted a survey a couple of months after the press conference, on how many Americans gargled with bleach or disinfectant to combat covid, they came up with a figure of 4%
Thats 10 million Americans who 'followed Trumps advice' yet no one seemed to be able to find these people, and no one died from it ?

No you didnt mention nazis as such, you just used examples of solely nazis using 'bleach' as a method of execution.

He suggested injecting it - it was his own White House staffers ripping the **** out of him that started the drinking thing (remember this was first term...when his team still had adults present) "Can I get you a Latte or would you rather have a Clorox?".

Injection - not a sensitive suggestion if you know your history, injection of a certain disinfectant - carbolic acid (phenol) -sickeningly was found to be a most efficient method of execution at Sonnestein then later Birkenau.   Diana Rowden, Vera Leigh, Andrée Borrel and Sonya Olschanezky of SOE where murdered this way at Natzweiler.  Some of them believed still alive as they were put into the ovens.

That's explained much better than I did John.

I just can't wrap my head around the behaviour of our sitting government. They obviously know what they've done isn't in the UKs best interests and yet they've chosen to do it anyway.

In my opinion, when someone takes a position that makes them responsible for other people, whether that's a carer, a leader in an organisation or the government of the UK, the position becomes bigger and more important than than the individual stepping into that role.

Your responsibilities are no longer solely to yourself, but to ensure the welfare of everyone your position represents. What Kier and co have done by putting their own selfish beliefs in front of their responsibilities as our leaders is disrespected our American allies, disrespected and disregarded their responsibilitys as our leaders and disrespected the people of the UK.

Put simply, they're not fit to run a club, let alone a country. It's surely basic fundamentals.

They didn't consider him getting in, they thought that their idealogical pals in the Democrats (???) would thwart him with lawfare, etc, so were free to say what they wanted.

They were wrong and didn't take into consideration, the American people.

Reporting that Trump advocated injecting bleach without clarifying what he was actually referring to is just typically dishonest reporting by leftist media.

Point in question, below.

Depends on your definition of "disinfectant". I wonder if a MAGA champ can really make subtle distictions?

Antibiotics could be considered disinfectants as they clear infection from the body. Obfuscation

There are also a number of chemicals which have disinfectant properties which are also used in medical settings, H2O2, colloidal silver & chlorine dioxide to name a few (which were all suggested at some point as possibly beneficial against Covid). None of these are injectable without consequence

Reporting that Trump advocated injecting bleach without clarifying what he was actually referring to is just typically dishonest reporting by leftist media. Bleach - obsessed by bleach... yet unable to appraise what he actually said. You cannot escape the fact that he was examining the idea of injecting disinfectant, live, on TV.

So you're comfortable advocating for someone who recommends self harm - as long as no one actually listens.

Firstly phenol isn't a bleaching agent but it is(was) a disinfectant. Secondly the combination of suggesting injection of a disinfectant and thus allowing a population to recall abhorrent historical crimes makes it a particularly stupid and ignorant thing to say.

Oh dear !
Im not sure anything I or others may say will deter you from this rather irrational hatred you have.
You know nothing of the man besides what you have seen from your chosen news sources.
He has no direct bearing on your life.
He has been democratically elected, twice, by the American people, and will be inaugurated shortly.

I would learn to live with things that you cant change to be honest.

It would seem some are overly influenced by the MSM and their clearly biased output.

I have personal experience of how someone can be so influenced.

So because I don't agree with you I therefore have to have hatred? As for irrational well... I'm not the one arguing that rain falls upwards.  It is interesting that your very first response was to accuse someone of derangement simply for holding a different view.

I've noticed in your replies to other threads that you have trouble with people disagreeing with you and start to make things personal.

If I were you I would learn to live with people who hold other opinions. If were you I wouldn't post criticisms of others who simply disagree if you can't cope with a reply.

Im not sure what threads youre reading, but its very rare I get personal, on here or life in general.
Its not my way.

You dont have to agree with me, you are of course entitled to your opinions, but be prepared to be challenged when you post inaccurate fallacies that have been gleaned from unworthy news sources.
Your hatred appears to me evident in your choice of words,  I said irrational, because you have no knowledge of Trump personally.
Please dont make this more than it is, you dont like Trump, I get it.
I dont like Trump, I dont know him well enough to make a proper decision on it, but what I do know he is the best thing for the US and by extension a lot of other countries at this moment in time.

Nor, as it turns out, is the covid vaccine

You cannot escape the fact that he was examining the idea of injecting disinfectant, live, on TV.

So what did the most harm in the long run, momentarily considering an idea , or strong arming the populace into taking an inadequately tested vaccine?

I just saw Trump pledge all state censorship of speech will be rescinded - free speech returns to Americans.
we badly need that over here to de-weaponise what we say and write about whats happening to our country.

I could warm to Trump - I retired from a Texas based software company a couple of years ago, they were so wrapped up in the namby-pamby details for DEI - Diversity-Equity-Inclusion stuff and how gender identity had to be observed..respected staff just didn't communicate for fear of offending someone.

I see on the BBC new page tonight: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cwyjqgl2erzo

"Incoming officials also said that Trump plans to "end DEI [diversity, equity and inclusion" inside the government, and make it official policy that the US recognises two sexes - male and female."

Like it!

It isn't irrational to look at the guy's record and decide he's a rotten apple. As for hatred your filter is highly selective. You admit you don't know him and you certainly don't know me. Yet he is unassailable to you even in the face of clear evidence to the contrary and I am supposedly full of hate for pointing out his appalling behaviour. There's a lot of projection going on.

What is bizarre is challenging the unchallengeable. The man said what he said and clearly on video. To say that is an inaccurate fallacy gleaned from unworthy news sources is just gaslighting - and this is what you have sought to do from the outset with ad hominem remarks.
