Well I got around to doing my first sausage rolls this afternoon , t b h they didn't turn out to bad and they took slightly longer than I thought , I did smear a drop of Horse Radish on one and a bit of pickle on another , my mate popped in so we had one each with a nice cup of tea , in my excitement I forgot what had what  😛 but the ones we had were very nice and he didn't complain and didn't even leave a crumb for my dog .:drinks:

Many THANKS for your kind comments , I done four and ran out of pastry as that was leftover from my attempt at a pie , these two are leftover and I might have another one for my tea after already eating one I am not hungry enough to cook anything , One of the members were saying he put a smear of Mustard on the sausage meat first to give it extra flavour , I didn't have any so I tried a smear of Horse Radish on one and a drop of M + S Christmas pickle on the other one so weather it melted away or not but at the moment we haven't tasted either , I was going to try a drop of Tartar sauce on one but I was a bit nervous what J K D might have said about a mis match .

Definitely would have said something about that on a sausage roll :big_boss:

There yer go I take all the advice on board , I bought three small jars of Colemans for Christmas , one was Tartar sauce , Seafood sauce and Apple sauce , come to think of it the Apple might had gone well with Pork sausage meat , might give that a try .:hmm:

Just for MM 1.jpg

Not a very big reduction T C , I have had enough Pigs in Blankets to last me till next Christmas , all I hope is when I put my cold weather gear on and venture out into my freezer I don't find another packet of P.i B that have been avoiding detection ,

We make these but run a line of chutney alongside the sausage meat, Alberts Victorian Chutney is nice or caramelised red onion.

I like the Victorian Chutney so if , or when I do some more I will try that , when my sister do some she chop a onion up and add that to the sausage meat , several things to try to make life interesting ,  MM

We had to let them cool down a bit first as they were to hot to eat straight away , all he said was they have got a nice taste , that might had been the pastry , the sausage meat or anything I put on them , I will give him a ring in the morning to see if he is still alright
