JohnGalway
I voted in every election local/national/European and referendum over here since I turned 18, was a clerk on the polling station for a few turns as well. A VERY well paid but extremely boring job, 17 hours was the longest day I did. Endless stream of the same predictable questions & statements "How's the turn out?", "Isn't the weather great/****", "Don't ye have a long day of it", I miss it like a contagious disease

MC
I did, and have always done. I agree with Blackbart, if you don't vote don't complain. In my opinion a vote for anyone other than the conservatives is a vote for labour.
Mungler
I am Tory boy. I detest politicians but at the end of the day I voted for the best of a bad bunch.

So in a way you helped ban hunting with hounds and legal coursing Personally I usually vote in local elections and always in general elections, and I'm with the tory voters. All the people who don't vote are really giving up with a form of apathy that is how Labour got in last time round and that has been a very expensive mistake for the country,

Baldrick
I always vote, and I always vote Tory (as I am an inbred bumpkin). As Mungler says, the Tories are the best of a bad bunch. Voter apathy is a tragic thing - it's a privilege to live in a democratic country, where there is just an iota of hope that the electorate can change things. Think of the poor **** in Zimbabwe and all the other states where demcracy means a lot less.

Voter apathy is a tragic thing - it's a privilege to live in a democratic country, where there is just an iota of hope that the electorate can change things. Think of the poor **** in Zimbabwe and all the other states where demcracy means a lot less. I'm another grudging Tory voter. I think the modern Tory party are a weak snivelling bunch of wretches, with absolutely no backbone, but they've got to be better than these vile socialist scum. I thought once that "New Labour" might be a compromise, but no, they're just the same green-eyed envious load of grabbing hypocritical ******** that they always used to be. They can't stand it if anybody's got anything that they haven't, but they're quick to amass a pile of their own, as soon as they get the opportunity. They just want to drag everybody down to their gutter level What a motley choice we have in this country I also agree that a non-Tory vote is a Labour vote. All these **** parties like the LibLab Dim Dems and the Green unwashed party are just a waste of space (and votes) Edited January 20, 2008 by Chard

caragh
I know Labour are very unpopular and tbh I can understand why, but I cannot vote tory with a clear conscience after what Mrs thatcher and her crew did to the British steel industry and the our coal mining industry to name just two. Something that we are all now paying for literaly unfortunatley, I confess to a certain bias being an ex coal miner. regards steve
