Fisherman Mike
Stepo...your language and tone is certainly not that of a 48 year old, I suspect 48 months would be nearer the mark. Perhaps you would be kind enough to leave us alone and concentrate your efforts on your next campaign, what ever that might be.. I suggest a " Bring back the Terry nappy" or "Free milk for Nursey Children" would be appropriate I would have thought rational argument about either of these would have been within your encompass. Goodbye. FM.
red_stag88
Stepo, drive a car? Ride a bus? Take the train? YOU ******* MUREROUS ****, YOU TWATING NOBCHUCK. Sorry, I get very angry thinking about all those innocent animals you have nonchalantly slaughtered over the past few years. And you didn't even eat them. B_GINNER
Hi all, Firstly. Stepo - go away. What happens when people like this stepo **** get their way and the following things are banned outright... Hunting, Shooting, Fishing, All legal gun ownership, Air guns, Any other weapons, crossbows etc Trapping, Baiting rats and other vermin, Any other method of finding a little enjoyment or employment other than the usual rat race five days a week. The whole country would go to pot, life would intolerably boring, suicide rates would increase, and so on. Everyone will do as they are told, there would be no need to vote, we would all work untill we die, wear grey clothes, life would be ****. I work in a factory, hunting with dogs etc. and the general good wholesome country way of life does not directly affect me. But i feel better knowing that this way of traditional country life still goes on (albeit for a short while at least) the same as it has done for a long time. I have a lot of respect for farmers, gamekeepers etc as it is by its very nature, a hard way of life. These ***** argue that is cruel to shoot a pheasant, but surely it is no worse than a cow getting a bolt shot through its head after being reared solely to eat? or chickens being hung on a slaughter conveyor belt while being very much alive? I suppose they will be going for a ban on meat and poultry next ? unless it dies of old age ! The only thing i would possibly draw annoyance with is the few occasions when there are more birds shot than are converted to food, this i find wasteful and pointless. There are far more serious things wrong in this country that should be sorted out. Sort these out first, then when there is nothing else wrong, start poking your nose into other peoples way of life. This will never happen as there is so much wrong with this country.
red_stag88
The proritorys of the anits are all wrong. Stepto, I appologise for my outbirst but I dont think you have the rite to preach to us. Surely the attrocites of third world countries, and the prevention of horrors such as Beslan should be at the top of most peoples agendas, not the squashing of a poorly represented minoritory, and not even putting up a fair fight, but using dirty underhand tactics. :(

Cranfield
Don't these Anti posts (real, or wind-up), bring out the Members eloquent skills ? I'm sure its best to ignore them, rather than sink to their level.
ollie
Well said cranners, if any pr#ck comes on in future shouting the odds & name calling, I think he/she should be ignored, he/she would soon lose interest if nobody is getting involved in the argument. pigeon master
Hello guys, What I dont understand is that these town folk and some country folk who dont want fox hunting have lost the plot. Dont they understand that the foxes are still going to be culled with rifles, snares and other means, are they not aware that the foxes that are killed through hunting with hounds across the country are providing jobs and revenue into our country. The hunt that maybe takes a fox on a hunt will have provided so much into local communities, maybe thousands of pounds when you add up all the costs involved from the horses to the hounds compared to now where a guy with a rifle will take out maybe three foxes for the price of three bullets, they just dont see the bigger picture do they. I dont hunt myself and at times they have annoyed me when they come banging through my parents land without asking but what these foxes do for us and the jobs they provide are respected I'm sure by all involved in hunting. "Atleast I hope they are". Its a shame that these people are so blinkered to think they have saved a foxes skin when in fact some of the foxes that would have been killed cleanly will now end up with bullets in them and some bullets dont hit the right spot everytime. rogo
I had an argument with my brother on the weekend. He lives in London and thinks Fox hunting should be banned. His reason is the needless running down of an animal and then digging it out if it goes to ground by people who dress in red coats and "Laud it up" that they have killed it. He doesn't mind shooting & snaring - so basically he cant stand "Toffs" because everyone who fox hunts have double-barrelled names and drive range rovers dont they. I could have quite easily hit him with his argument. He has his mind set and like the rest of the anti's, you can talk till your blue in the face they simply will not accept that fox hunting provides a service to farmers, & local communities - it is simply Tarquin william james having fun and "lauding it up" over lower class people. Tunnel visioned tossers!
remytherussell
Latest reports from Scotland show that the number of foxes killed by shooting is double that killed by hunting before the ban there. So the poor little furry thing is suffering even more!!!! RTR

henry d
I spoke to some bunny huggers in town a few moons ago and during the "conversation" one got a bit flustered and admitted that she wouldn`t stop until they`d banned all fieldsports, eating meat, keeping pets and animal testing!!!!!! As John Darling once said "hunting and procreation are mans most basic needs to survive, when they ban hunting I`ll give up the other". Neatly put I thought Personally I`d like to give fatty Prescott a lesson in how to squeeze a size10 up his sphincter.
Siatek
It's been a good ten years since I last went hunting, I'm going to start again now- I don't really have that stronga feeling about it, but the countryside after the ban, there was a question 'Should we ban shooting' ? That said it all for me, I just wish I'd done more to show my support.
Gemini
For anyone who still believes that banning foxhunting is anything to do with animal welfare, then have a look at this- http://www.monbiot.com/archives/2004/09/14...ar-on-the-hoof/ G.M.
