It was a bloody great house spider running across my pillow. It ran straight across my face and carried on. I hate and fear spiders. I went to the everglades and the Royal botanical gardens at Campala in Uganda and there were some monsters, had to show a brave face but I was crapping myself. What about you PW members? Dr W Posted March 27, 2009 Report Share Posted March 27, 2009 Spiders When little I was having a mug of milk and happened to glance down into the mug and there was a huge house spider floating in my milk, I pooped myself and have hated them ever since. They give me the shivers but it's the really big ones that get me, might have been from watching that old Tarzan film as a child. Tried watching Arachnophobia to cure me but it didn't help and watched most of it from behind a cushion, god I'm a big girl aren't I. I don't like wasps but don't fear them - they are the skinheads of the insect world and always up for it. Spiders, not fussed. Snakes, not keen at all. Frankly, I am the caveman. I have a fear of catching diseases from door handle contact from people that have touched the door handle before me.
