steve_b_wales
My 1st shotgun, 37 years ago was a Baikal S/B. Kicked like a mule, but what fun. I have owned and sold many Baikal's since then, and have two now, a S/S and O/U. Excellent good value for money shotguns.
Greenhunter
Not my first gun but my first O/U was a baikal. Two sets of barrels, a 26" and a 29". The 29" was full and full when I got it so I had it bored out to 1/2 and 1/4. Dropped 5 ducks with one shot with it the first time I tried some Hevi-shot in it. Un-intentionally, I must add. Memories.......
poorpeet
Just bought my 1st gun from Lurcherboy . Baikal o/u 1/2 & full. Very happy with it.
njc110381
I had a Baikal .410 for a bit. I couldn't shoot well with it but that was no fault of the gun. It patterned well and seemed very well made, I never had a problem with it (which is more than I can say for my Beretta). If I knew what I know now when I started I'd have bought a Baikal O/U MC EJ with my money when I started out and left my Silver Pigeon in the shop! I could have got a Sako instead of a Tikka when I bought my rifle then My first shotgun was a singal barrel Baikal bought at Dave Millers in Sunderland in 1974.Cost 15 quid.Handed it into police station a couple years ago because need the room and couldn't sell it. Now you should be ashamed of yourself. I bet the police didn't have any trouble selling it You could have given it away on here. Someone would have made good use of it if it was still safe to use. mudpatten
Used to have one of the early Baikal 12 bore sbs hammer guns. Bought from new in 1972. Shot lots of duck and pigeon with it. I see it now and then at the local straw bale clay shoot where it is in the proud possession of its ninth owner.

gubby_uk
My first gun was a single barrel 12g that a chap gave me. Used to catch my finger in that bloody stupid release lever under the trigger guard every time! Saying that, it was a great starter gun and served me well. I did the same thing and just passed it on when I was done with it. I fancy a Baikal hammer gun so if there's a cheap or better yet free one knocking about
Admiral Von Tirpitz
Double Trigger O/U bought around 1993, has had the lower ejector fixed twice, but considering its use over 16 years and abuse it has served very well, its also on a full choke on the upper chamber and is my favorite gun for clays. Recently had a courtsey Baikal from my gunsmith, with a single trigger and that too was just like my own to use, fitted like a glove. Ive never married yet, but then sometimes I do wonder if my Baikal and I are wed :-)
