After meeting a load of them in Dover once, I was immediately surrised by their politeness and conduct. I am however told that is couteous nature is not extended in combat :good::good:

So a deffo yes for me can't think of a better people as an example of british citizenship.

Once they give it too them we can prehaps then offer it to the lot from North of the Watford gap.........

When i was 18 years old and more stupid than i am now i decided to join the U.S.M.C. In those days and its proberbly still the same today you could join the american armed forces from any where in the world via their embassy . I applied to the london embassy and to cut a long storey short was selected for training for the U.S.M.C. The point of what i am saying is that had taken this oppotunity ,which i did not , and had i served 5 years i would have had automatic american citizenship.

It should be done for the gurkha soldier in this country .

YES YES YES,they have shown there loyalty, and the way they have been treated is outrageous, they are loyal, respectful and genuine people, after all dont we let most people into the UK and what have most of them done for us,OH YES sap our taxs, nhs, housing, etc, etc.By all means let them in,but if they want to settle here so badly,3 years National service might be a good starting point for them, but if this was the case i reckon most of them might look elsewhere :good:

These guys are willing to die for our queen and country and are fine upstanding men. I would value a Gurkha as a neighbour (I have had 3 as neighbours in the past) more than any british born 3rd generation social security scrounger. The true scurge of our nation not any typ of imigrant!!

A most definate YES here. I cannot believe how we could deny these people who have served our country and earned the right to live here , when we are allowing others who have made no contribution whatsoever, to live here and enjoy the benefits that are available.. I see the Government has made rules which do allow those Ghurkas who have completed 20 years service right of Residency......Shame that a Ghurka rifleman is not allowed to serve more than 15 years!!! Typical of the government we have today.

Disgraceful, we’re only too happy to let 250,000 Somalis live here (and it wasn’t even part of the Commonwealth), yet we won't support the Gurkhas.

Nepal isn't in the Commonwealth either, but the Ghurka ex-soldiers should be given automatic citizenship

definately!! they have served for this country and deserved there right to live here. makes me sick the fact off all the illegal immigrants coming over and then being granted to stay. what has this country come too. i think everyone in england thinks they should be allowed to stay, why dont the government take notice!!
