Windy
I have a theme now.....name my spaniels after ducks/water fowl. Have had an Eider and current nutter is Wigeon. Although the one before Wigeon was Purdey, for a change.
casts_by_fly
I like the idea of purdey. That way I can say I own a purdey. That would be about my only chance! Thanks, Rick

Guinea Fowl
I quite like drink related names such as Malt and whiskey With that blond animated avatar of yours, you should be giving your dogs names such as Tits, Bounce ........... v-max
Try and Keep it one syllable, I try and keep it countryside related. Like Twig, Red, Roe, Sika, Pop, Eley, Lewis is bang on keep the name short & sweet but think what you maybe shouting out too. I keep away from names of people for males due to less females i meet in the field & dont name after game as i work my dogs for guests etc & the guns get in fluster if you are say teal/snipe etc all the time. My bitches are tara/kim & tia but theres loads to choose from if you put your mind to it.

eshielsgundogs
At the minute I have: Tain, Jura, Tia, Luner for the girls Freddie, Cruz, for the boys I try to keep the names different sounding, it helps when taking more than one dog at a time, as they are sent by name. blahblahblah
Father in law called his lab bast*rd as a joke then cashed his chips in two weeks later no one had the heart to change it. Not good when calling it back in a park full of oldies and kids.
