  5. If he is that age and is not in receipt of any disability benefits then he should be able to get Attendance Allowance. Unfortunatey that doesn’t come with a mobility component but should be entitled to receive up to £110 ish per week which would fund help with a scooter. As ditchy said contact your nearest Citizens Advice and ask them to Assist

  8. Fitted the new blade and did a few test curves on some scrap wood. Miles better. I will attach a stock to a piece of sacrificial wood and mark up the section which needs cutting.

  11. Oddly enough, until I mentioned metal window frames on this thread I had never heard them called Crittall windows.
  12. I have used a Hornet .22 since 1995. Mine is a BRNO made in 1958. It has taken hundreds of foxes for me. I have always considered it good to around 200 yards.
  13. How far are you from Chesterfield mate s402pa cheers
  14. I think you consider yourself a cunning manipulator Conor worthy of a political career. Sorry but you're not manipulating me. And I don't think you are fooling the majority of grass roots shooters. Maybe some Johnny come lately newcomer driven game shooters but not anyone who has been around shooting for a similar length of time as all your critics. How is the overtime going you'll be able to afford a new steel proof gun next month, you do shoot don't you?
  15. You're not interested in the slightest. Do you think I came up the Lagan in a bubble 🤣 Sorry if my continual reference to the substance of your own posts has grated a bit. As I have said your credibility is at an all time low I don't think that there's much you can do to retrieve it. I think I've covered all the ground necessary to paint an accurate picture.
  16. You done well to get 51 and glad you wasn't deterred with the weather , today it have been cold , damp with constant drizzle and the wind had died down to dead calm , not the sort of weather for an o a p to sit about in the poor conditions , well that is my excuse for giving it a miss and it should be warmer and dryer next week so I might as well sit around in the nice weather if there isn't a lot about rather than how it is at the moment , writing this out I can hear the rain hitting my windows and won't be sorry when this month come to a close . MM
  17. Just listen to the Podcast, just PR blurb mixed with a little stretching of the truth to hopefully end up in cloud cuckoo land, Sorry Terry you sounded like your reading from a BASC script
  18. BDS might be worth a call. First class organisation by all accounts
  19. Well done, got to be where they want to be.
  20. Currently working my way through these.
  21. AA S410 or 510 if you find one cheap (good luck!!), charge it to 170 bar and keep 50 pellets in a container, do your bit and the gun will put them through the same hole all day, every day.Nothing against the HW100, seen what they are capable of (clinical) but had 2 mates with leaking guns that Hull Cartridge never fixed.
  22. The now usual Friday call from the Mottster. I have a freshly drilled bean field that’s covered, we should be good tomorrow. We arranged to meet up at 9 o’clock at the said field. I arrived early as near this field, is a nice butchers that does lovely pies and sausage rolls and I couldn’t resist buying us one each before we started. I watched the field for a while and there was plenty down, but they were moving over the field at a rapid rate and this for me didn’t bode well. This to me said they weren’t finding any food to keep them there. Motty arrived and we watched as the pigeons departed and didn’t come back. We decided to have a drive around and check out other fresh drilling and then return to the field and see if we had just been too early. We went back around 10 o’clock and it was devoid of pigeons. I have a rape field that has had a lot of attention but just as they build up another shooter has a go and makes it hard to get much success on there. This was the only option reasonably local so we drove the 10 miles to the field and found several down feeding on a very well mown patch near an old copse. The wind was from our left so we had some dead birds from last weeks outing so we put them out and a single rotary. The first customers came quite soon and we had 5 down quite quickly, then it went very quiet and I started getting the feeling this would be hard work, but we said we’ll give a couple of hours and see. After about 1 and 1/2 hours we had 12 , so now it was either stick or twist time, the other field was over 30 miles away and we would be going blind as we hadn’t scouted that area. So we decided to stick. The flight started to increase with all the pigeons coming from in front some would decoy, others come to the trees and other swerve away presenting all the shots in the book. We would have a flurry of activity then long spells with not much happening, by 3 o’clock the flight line had dried up and we decided it was time to pack up, we picked 71 for a very respectable afternoon pigeon shooting.
