  1. I had a KOFS 28G for a couple of years, no problems but I would advise not buying without seeing the gun first as the stocks seem to vary from average to stunning, you can get replacement stocks for under £100 if you need a junior stock but cannot get a junior gun at a decent price or vice versa (check with SGC first as I bought mine around 4 years ago). The KOFS has a screw under the fore end that can tighten up the barrel/action so dont be fooled thinking a gun is hardly used if the action is stiff.
  2. Will give it a go, apologies Ditchy for wandering off topic.
  3. I've tried just about everything I can to make rice in my Rice cooker, always comes out stodgy and stuck together at the bottom, cheaper than microwave Rice yes, but I'm failing miserably somewhere along the line.
  4. Same here, we have an Air Fryer and a Multi Cooker and, between the 2, they cover 90% of our needs. Air Fryer chicken is the best but breast meat can dry out so I put about 1/2 cup of boiling water in the bottom of the fryer before cooking.
  5. I buy the 4ltr Lea and Perrins bottles, works out around the same (ish) price and lasts a couple of years, the longer you keep it the better it gets.
  6. Try it, think you will be pleasantly surprised, you only need about a tablespoon - the aroma is superb.
  7. That does look good, S&S is so easy to make - I usually make it in batches and freeze 250ml portions in freezer bags. Did you flash fry in groundnut oil or sesame?
  8. You don't need a dogs danglies scope for a PCP, it's totally recoilless so something built like a tank is not needed. I like Nikko Stirling but Hawke have a very good reputation for customer service, I would suggest also considering the size of gun you are putting the scope on - there are some tiny PCP's out there and mounting something akin to the the Hubble space telescope is going to look daft. Scopes I have been amazed by are the NS Gameking (if you can find one) or the Panamax range. Best to have a look through as many as you can as your eyes may be better suited to some rather than others. I would happily buy used, you get more value for your money.
  9. I dont regret mine although one is terrible but then it brings back fond memories. If she wants one done I would try and persuade her to keep it small and discreet like on the back of her shoulder. I would also suggest going to the best studio that she can afford. Not sure where she is but there's a guy in Buckingham called Dean North who owns a studio called Forever Ink - if you can get an appointment it's well worth the travel as his work is outstanding.
  10. I'm in as long as it's a standard yearly payment ie paying more to become a "Gold" member is not an option. Another forum I visit has accepted donations and a few of the members who gave "generously" seem to have suddenly become Moderators.
  11. Food is spot on but it's the Artistic interpretation of the sauce trail that I find most intriguing - early impressionism I'm guessing?
  12. Looks good, I dont seem to be able to find any button mushrooms that taste of anything at all?
  13. I think the sabatier 5 knife block is good value but make sure it's the "professional" badged version. Bought mine for £60 on offer in Asda but you can get then around the £80 mark normally. Very good quality for the price and pigging sharp (cut my finger twice first time I used them)
  14. About the best I've tried are the McCains crinkle cut oven chips, but we deep fat fry them.

    TESCO

Crockpot do a multicooker for around £80, it frys, stews. slow cooks, pressure cooks, steams etc etc. Veg times are mental ie mashed potatoes 9 minutes, brussels 3 mins.
  16. Got to love Car ads, about a minute of a new car whizzing aound a handfull of beauty spots before dissapearing into the sunset that hangs romantically over a sea of smiling faces. Absolutely sod all details about the car though.
  17. Your Daughter does all the cooking?
  18. I have no idea, just thought that, if they have said no BP, then this would be a way around it. Unless they have actually used something to test the noise your guns make?
  19. Just had a thought regarding this, can your guns not use Pyrodex? It's not BP.
  20. I've always found the whoomp of a BP Shotgun far less intrusive than Nitro cartridges?
  21. How odd, I've been wondering the same for weeks but didn't want to ask in case I had missed something ? One of a kind is our Mick.
  22. Here's hoping it's nothing serious, I'm guessing the vet suggested boiled chicken and rice for a few days. It doesn't take much to upset many Dogs digestive system, my Springer has a diet of 3 different foods or he has constant runs. I have always found that Forthglade wet dog food tends to stop the runs, about 150 grams per meal is normally effective.
  23. I think you may have Cataracts, common problem, get em sorted and you will not believe the difference.
  24. AFAIK there is absolutely no first class post as we know it over the Crimble period, but the good old PO will happily flog you a stamp. Disgracefull behaviour from an organisation that needs closing down. Example, 2 x 35 kilo boxes from UK to the Netherlands, PO price £120 for delivery within 4 days....DPD £28 next day delivery and collected from our door (about 4 years ago now), ordered an item from a dealer in Coventry a few weeks back (48 miles from me) from the PO acknowledging reciept to delivery at my door 6 days !!!!!!
