  1. Great idea but how many Farmers could afford to buy their land and could the NT sell it as surely it belongs to the nation?
  2. Are they not kicking tenant farmers off their land?

    Petition

Every member of PW should sign this.
  4. Probably "mostly" getting on the Bus for Borstal 😁.
  5. I wouldn't buy from anybody that didn't have as much knowledge as I do personally unless it's something really obscure like Black Powder 20g loads for example. When you buy from a dealer part on the money pays for the advice and experience of the staff and if they don't have a clue then I think you're being short changed.
  6. Would it be an idea to freeze the sprouts for a couple of days before using them?
  7. If you get chance try dribbling Balsamic Vinegar Glaze over tinned Tomatoes - it's amazing.
  8. Looks good, you could top that nicely with mashed Parsnip and Potato mixed.
  9. Pork doesn't have a great amount of taste though so adding the correct amount of herbs, IMO, adds to the product but I think larger brands see it as a cheap way of boosting flavour and maybe using cheaper cuts of meat.If you are ever in Buckingham there's a very good Butcher (Smith and Clay) that sell a selection of top quality sausages inc Venison - well worth a try and the "older"chap in there is real old school gentleman that knows his stuff.
  10. Surely a job for your local councils environmental team, not sure how long it would take them to act though. Knowing councils the way I do I would imagine 6 months to deem it "urgent" then another 18 months to actually do anything (they're still getting over Covid you know).
  11. I think the rules state that you need to say what size bag of skittles 😃.
  12. Colin Willock, now there's a blast from the past, brilliant writer and real lover of country sports.
  13. £240 million to get people back to work is a pee in the ocean, we already spend that a month on housing illegals. The man is a buffoon.
  14. Different but then the best meals are often last minute concoctions, agree with comments regarding good sausages but I swear that some brands change from week to week - we've been buying Porky Whites for months now but the last pack were flavourless, before that it was Black Farmer but they went the same way. Mind you Richmond bucks the trend - they've been consistently awful.
  15. 170000 words in our language but there seems no combination of any of them to portray my feelings over your post, I can but wish you well and hope that we all can meet again someday. I firmly believe that we all come back but now is maybe not the time to explain why.
  16. Maybe we should charge those that were not enslaved for the cost of the English Royal Navy that carried out anti slavery patrols for years, a well known practice that seems to get forgotten whenever it's convenient?
  17. The lower priced smoked gammon from Aldi is superb (small £4 ish 750g) chuck it in your slow cooker with a couple of rough chopped onions and carrots then fill 3/4 of the way up the meat with cheap cola and put on high for a couple of hours then medium till it's done (about 6-7 hours in total) add a handful of roasties and mixed veg along with white sauce with onions in and that gives us 4 delicious servings.
  18. The last picture is virtually porn 😜.
  19. Your bead is a standard 3mm type and should come off with little trouble - I found the beads from A1 tackleshop on the bay of plenty to be pretty good and they have a fair selection.
  20. Is that a standard MK1 stock? Looks more like the mk2?
  21. Nighttime is your best friend for seeing Rats, I recall (many years ago) calling at a small farm on our way home from shooting just on the off chance that we could have a go at the crows in the guys fields. The farmer walked us round the buildings after agreeing to show us the best place to hide and just happened to mention that he was having serious problems with Rats - so much so that they had chewed through his kitchen floor (wooden) and were often seen running around indoors despite having several jack Russell dogs . TBH we thought that he was maybe exaggerating as we didn't see any signs anywhere. Turned up about a week later with Air Rifles just to show willing and didn't see a single rodent. And then darkness fell. It was like a horror movie with Rats appearing as if from nowhere, there were thousands and we were so shocked that we left as Air Rifles were not going to make any dent in the population (many were so close that you couldn't focus the scope on them).A few weeks later we returned, I had bought myself a 3 shot 9mm semi and my mate had a .22lr shotgun - both had laser pens and maglites fixed underneath so it was a case of torch on, finger on the laser switch, red dot on Roland and pull the trigger (usually shot from the hip) - now we were cooking on gas!! This perm usually produced over 200 in an evening and continued till the owner retired about 5 years later and moved to a care home. RIP Colin.
  22. Not sure there is a "Mans version" of couscous but then I've never been to Narfook.
  23. Swap the couscous for rice, pop a couple of pineapple chunks on the sticks and I'll be on my way in 10 minutes.
