  1. We were surrounded by ridge and furrow, just about all built on now.
  2. Anyone tried the above?, mine have been on it for a few days and it does look promising - top ranked British made dry food, not cheap but works out cheaper than Butchers wet. Seems to be around the £2.30/day for a 25kg dog. Coats are already soft and shiny and the Dogs love it, feels like a quality food and I'm using for treats as well as regular feeding. Has a 92% nutritional rating which is pretty high ( Pedigree Vital dry, 20% for comparison)
  3. Rob85, not if the attacking dog belongs to a Policeman (off duty at the time) who then txt's you to say he will not comment on the matter. As luck would have it I saw him at Tesco's last week, I told him what I thought of him in front of everybody, he put his trolley back and left.
  4. I think the fuss is all over, the Government have assured us that her legs were 2 metres apart most of the time.
  5. He's good as new now, £170 odd on Antibiotics, anti inflammatory cream and steroids I hold in stock so that kept the bill down.
  6. £40 to walk in the door at our vets, then a 500% mark up on drugs. £25 for a couple of seconds on the phone, biggest joke however was last year when my lad was attacked by a GSD, following day he was clearly unwell so off to the vets for a check over, £40+ later and we are assured that he is fine and maybe a little in shock (he's very nervous), next day, as he's not looking any better, the wife gives him a good looking over and finds these under his belly.
  7. Should find them in the members section?
  8. VTR has a limited tank range, If you want cheap, comfortable but stupidly fast I would be looking at a ZZR1100, or the GPz100RX is starting to climb in price. A well cared for R1 or a GSXR1000 will scare the bejesus out of you for not much money.
  9. We have more Nuthatches and Tree Creepers in our woods than I have ever seen in my near 60 years, we also have more Jays, in fact I would say over the last 2 years I've seen more Jays than in the rest of my life. I would never shoot one unless I had no choice, they seem like a magical mysterious bird to me.
  10. Buy a used one, not an awful lot to wear out on a DSLR. For the price of new you might pick up a nice outfit with decent lenses, Nikon of course but Canon are much the same.
  11. Without going into too much boring detail, Bercow is a decent man, met him several times and he helped me fight my local council and the DHSS by pulling the right strings. He supported me when I took the DHSS to a tribunal. Just my opinion of course....
  12. Out for a celebration dinner Saturday evening, rules were, mask on whilst walking to and from the table but as soon as you sat down you could take it off ( I was so close to the next diner that I could smell the rum in his drink) so from this I think it's fair to deduce that if we all sit down we are safe. Also made me chuckle to see that the government covid test kit is made in China.
  13. Wrong, I shoot vermin on parkland that belongs to a charity, I get no pleasure whatsoever from the act of killing, the "entertainment" (I would say challenge) is in being able to outwit my quarry and then despatch it without it ever knowing I was there.TBH, some of my best days out shooting I have not fired a shot.
  14. As time goes on the way forward is surely to incorporate Game into the food chain, BTW, I dont kill for entertainment, never have nor will. Game could surely be introduced into various foodstuffs and is healthy additive to Mince etc, we need to educate not legislate but IMHO putting our weight behind the Fur trade is suicidal.
  15. Rearing for food is one thing and is justifiably essential ,farming for fashion is another and, in my mind and in this age, is indefensable.
  16. Yes, but unfortunately she seems to talk out of it.
  17. The Springer Spaniel, well known for it's grace and poise as well as it's love of water.......
  18. Dog walking friend of mine has had a Transit Connect since Feb, broken down 5 times so far and found out today that it's back at the garage again.
  19. That was fitted to make placing the butt on your foot more comfortable, makes looking down the barrel to see if the pellet is still in transit after you've pulled the trigger much easier.
  20. "a trigger pull of around 20 lbs and just about spits a pellet out", that'll be the deluxe model then.

By youth I refer to teenagers. Besides Afghanistan is a totally different kind of battlefield.

If we could only have harvested an ounce of their courage, clemency and dignity, then injected it into the youth of today, what a better place this world would be.
