  1. My daughters Dalmation chewed his way through her other halfs collection of signed mini F1 helmets, value unknown but likely to be over a grand (15 of them signed by several world champions).
  2. Wb123, be careful that you do not have 2 policies covering the same risk by 2 different companies, I seem to recall that an insurance company will not pay out a claim if you hold another identical policy with a different provider - you may think you are doubly insured whereas you may not actually be covered at all.
  3. I watch him several times a week, the truth can be very scary.
  4. I'm not saying that the dog should have been on a lead.....I'm just saying that because both dogs were off lead the police will show no interesdt whatsoever. I have an email somewhere from TVP stating that no offence has taken place.
  5. Your dog was off lead? Sorry but no offence has taken place, I know it's ridiculous but the police will not even investigate when both dogs are off lead - I know cos a policemans dog (not a police dog) attacked my springer causing near £200 of damage, no case to answer even though his dog ran 30 odd yards and attacked mine as he had his back to him looking for a ball.
  6. To reset the safety surely you simply go throgh the cocking procedure again, no spring to fight and takes 2 seconds.
  7. Actually Mice, the cylinder is made from a cut down Ford Anglia shock absorber whilst the stock utilises wood deemed too poor for making pallets, but any parts rejected by Snowpeak are sold on to BSA 😂.
  8. I use Squirrels as pellet stoppers, very little noise.
  9. At a guess (and it's only that) I would imagine that its a combination of her body recting to a new introduction of the virus (the jab) after having the virus previousley and having built up natural antibodies, and shock. Glad she's ok.
  10. Now that's the way to do it, heart warming story, thank you for sharing. Any updates/recent pictures?
  11. "Like" OPP? that's an understatement, I honestly cannot fault it, it weighs next to nothing, it's as accurate as my S510R, it almost fits in my handbag (🙄), it's good for around 100 shots and just "does the job". Faults/Dislikes?, the Mag can be fiddly to load in the field and I need reading glasses to do the job (buy 3 mags and load them at home), the trigger, out of the box, is not good (easily adjusted), it's got quite a bark (AirFective sorted for £30), struggling to think of anything else.......Nope! Few things I have learned, the later guns come with metal magazines, some earlier models suffered with a coating inside the barrel flaking off and ruining accuracy, AirFective make them 100% reliable and usable for a £100 basic service, the cocking lever is cold on your cheek if you're a lefty!! A good fitting gunbag takes some research but one is readily available for around £15, at the end of the day it's a regged gun with a Titanium cylinder, 11 shot (.177), 100 + shot count that does everything you could ask of it for under £400, what's not to like?
  12. Maybe siera leone could use some of its £21million defence budget to buy vaccines?
  13. Meant to order the heavies a couple of weeks back but being a fully paid up half wit I ordered the standards by mistake (couple of bottles of Merrydown did'nt help matters)
  14. 4 greys fell to the little P shooter early this morning. Bought some QYS pellets while having my tank filled t'other day and find them easily a match for the JSB's, suffered with an out of date map again on yet another new wood but managed to find 2 feeders (both empty) after a good stroll and settled down to wait, all 4 shot on one feeder in less than an hour but time flew by as 2 Jays were stealing peanuts every couple of minutes and kept me entertained (supposed to shoot them but I dont), walked around after the first victims and came across a clearing where there must have been 15 Squirrels running around on some felled Ash trees (will report this tommorow and hopefully get a feeder put up nearby), nine o'clock soon came so back to the car. Parked in a public, yet secluded car park and was rather suprised by the amount of people parked there chatting and eating sandwiches!!!
  15. Got banned from a local website for suggesting that people who live in houses on wheels are most likely those stealing local dogs after 2 young ladies were attacked.

Am I being a little over zealous here or could the EU attempt at blocking our legitimate supply of the vaccine be a strong case for threat of military action (assuming, of course, that we can find a suitable body of men( not stripped by consecutive governments diminishing their ability to mount a threat) and organise a stand off.The EU is almost begging for an iron response.
  17. Cannot understand why this invasive species was taken off the GL?
  18. The fact that DVLA can only legally release certain details for certain puposes and only when it is legal to do so, as I say, I will have the SAC details on Saturday.
  19. You forgot to mention the £117 million that Comic Relief in need hold in their account, anybody considering donating would be better off buying a red, white and blue nose from the Jim Davidson charity. Pop onto youtube and have a quick listen to Alex Belfield discussing the matter.
  20. Easy - they pay DVLA to release your details, but that's not an insurance company and it's not a SAC.
  21. I doubt that very much, the police do not release such information and I very much doubt that DVLA even know you've been on a course. PS, just spoken to a lass that works for TVP, if somebody refuses or gives a false name etc after being involved in a motor accident (to the other driver) his/her insurance company can ask the police to share their details of the accident if they were called but they would have to pay for such unformation, getting the SAC policy details on Saturday.
  22. Yes but my point is that if you think taking the course will prevent your insurance going up then you're wrong. On the other hand afaik, there is no way they could ever find out if you have been on a course.
  23. Some insuranbce companies now ask if you have been on a speed awareness course and hike your premiums if you have, sometimes it's less hassle to take the points.
  24. FWIW, I have a SAK mod on my .17hmr and can confirm that it adds weight and is black, oh, and comes in a neat plastic tube, but that's about it 😄.
  25. Hopefully the results will increase the diversity of birds using the woodland, I've certainly noticed new species appearing in the 3 years I've been visiting my nearest wood with Nuthatches and Tree Creepers last year and Coal Tits this season. Most of the woods are still recording empty feeders every week though so still plenty to do and breeding season is just under way. Wish I could find someone local to share the outings as the furthest woods are 1/2 hour drive and some are 300+acres, would be nice to have a companion sometimes.
