  1. The lower priced smoked gammon from Aldi is superb (small £4 ish 750g) chuck it in your slow cooker with a couple of rough chopped onions and carrots then fill 3/4 of the way up the meat with cheap cola and put on high for a couple of hours then medium till it's done (about 6-7 hours in total) add a handful of roasties and mixed veg along with white sauce with onions in and that gives us 4 delicious servings.
  2. The last picture is virtually porn 😜.
  3. Your bead is a standard 3mm type and should come off with little trouble - I found the beads from A1 tackleshop on the bay of plenty to be pretty good and they have a fair selection.
  4. Is that a standard MK1 stock? Looks more like the mk2?
  5. Nighttime is your best friend for seeing Rats, I recall (many years ago) calling at a small farm on our way home from shooting just on the off chance that we could have a go at the crows in the guys fields. The farmer walked us round the buildings after agreeing to show us the best place to hide and just happened to mention that he was having serious problems with Rats - so much so that they had chewed through his kitchen floor (wooden) and were often seen running around indoors despite having several jack Russell dogs . TBH we thought that he was maybe exaggerating as we didn't see any signs anywhere. Turned up about a week later with Air Rifles just to show willing and didn't see a single rodent. And then darkness fell. It was like a horror movie with Rats appearing as if from nowhere, there were thousands and we were so shocked that we left as Air Rifles were not going to make any dent in the population (many were so close that you couldn't focus the scope on them).A few weeks later we returned, I had bought myself a 3 shot 9mm semi and my mate had a .22lr shotgun - both had laser pens and maglites fixed underneath so it was a case of torch on, finger on the laser switch, red dot on Roland and pull the trigger (usually shot from the hip) - now we were cooking on gas!! This perm usually produced over 200 in an evening and continued till the owner retired about 5 years later and moved to a care home. RIP Colin.
  6. Not sure there is a "Mans version" of couscous but then I've never been to Narfook.
  7. Swap the couscous for rice, pop a couple of pineapple chunks on the sticks and I'll be on my way in 10 minutes.
  8. Superb, the board is stunning, you should be very proud of yourself.
  9. Fries Sir, similar to chips but usually colder and with only slightly less fat than the lass that serves you.
  10. Simply history, didn't know he was dead till I read it on here, cannot name a single song that he mimed to and couldn't even tell you what he looked like, but thank you for your comment - I now know that there IS something I care even less about - now that's Ironic.
  11. Well done, a pigeon on decoys with an Air Rifle is worth 10 with a scattergun.
  12. They all failed their auditions, but Cowell needed a boy group so he put them together and invested millions into promoting them knowing obviously that with enough money pumped into the group even 5 losers could become a cash cow. TBH, you would have to spend an awful lot of time trying to find someone that cares less than me.
  13. Are you sure? The original tube has been sold but it looks like they still sell the modern repro's?
  14. Agreed, mine was £300 non FAC but the stock needs refinishing to make it mint.
  15. Put some pics up - EELL is simply gun porn.
  16. What value are you putting on it? £600 seems the going price for a good one - might help if you gave your thoughts on value?
  17. Totally depends on your dose, if you get 5mg prescribed but don't take it unless you get a "flare" then you should be fine, if not enough then double your dose, as for side effects I'm struggling to think of any Med without them, as a Steroid yes they can increase your appetite. I've been on 5mg for more than 10 years with no side effects but without the drug my knees can suddenly double in size overnight, this makes walking almost impossible so then I get fluid retention, this, in turn, can take weeks to subside. As for coming off them being difficult? I don't honestly think I would have any problems if I had to.
  18. You've given yourself a problem now - How are you going to top that? Perfect.
  19. Prednisolone no good?
  20. You can buy UTI testing strips for about £10 - might save you a few quid visiting the vet? Does the Dog drink plenty of water?

AFAIK , the vast majority of traditional chicken curries that our Asian brethren eat contains bones as well where meat is concerned - it also helps to retain moisture within the meat if the bone is present.I do seem to think however that the skin is usually removed?
