Get a used Garret ACE 150 or 250 - you should pick one up around £100 -£150, maybe less. This is an amazing machine for the money, very popular with beginers so plenty usually for sale as people either quit or move up to a more expensive machine. Buy a draper mini spade from toolstation or whoever and away you go - make sure you get headphones. Used properly (has several preset programs as well) this little machine will find most things down to around 6-7 inches.

Stunning markings on "Badger Brodie"

Should have shopped around - under £80/4 on the bay of plenty - then get them replaced when you have the tyres changed. As for resseting a computer - you can buy the tool for under £30 that will reset just about any car.
-
Be careful which one you buy if you go for the larger sizes - some have short shelf lives once opened, the Laziza offering simply says "refrigerate after opening", ours last a good couple of months in the fridge.
-
Much experimentation led us to the Laziza product, it's very hard to tell the difference twixt that and fresh, we use it quite a lot in Italian meals as well. Some herbs I grow myself which helps with freshness but as long as you cook the dry spices in a little oil you should get a pretty good flavour. Grate your Onions and squeeze out the water and if you use chicken breast then always velvet it before use - her indoors was trained by the Roux brothers so she's a fair cook!

Quick snap the the other halfs Curry Kit - we reckon we can make just about any Curry out there. BTW - there's a youtube channel called "glebekitchen" that, if you subscribe, gives loads for recipes designed to taste like the take away food.

Rehomed my second Springer just over a year ago - he's six in March. He came from a home where he was never walked (he was just under 33kg!!) and training consisted of him not taking up all of the sofa. He had never been socialised and was very possesive over any toy that he had - if you gave him a ball he would run away with it and grumble if you tried to take it from him, he had no recall and was totally unused to outdoor life. So, a year and a bit later, he comes as soon as he is called - in fact I can recall him with a hand signal if I choose, he retrieves to hand 90% of the time - the other occasions he drops the dummy at your feet. He can now cover 6-7 miles with ease and is just over 23 kg, he loves water - I swear that, if he could, he would sit in a glass of the stuff!! He is not, by any means, the perfect Dog but he is a perfect companion with the benefit of his new found love of flushing, he is a real bonus. Just before christmas he stopped like he had been pole axed and refused my signal to "come here" - 5 seconds later he pushed his nose under a bush and out flew a Woodcock - made my day. Jim Neal is spot on - enjoy the experience.

Bought mine refurbished from Currys/PC World via Ebay - mine was £100 below the cheapest price anywhere on the net and came boxed and as new - only problem I've had is that it came with WIN10 "S" - the "S" I believe is Microsofts attempt at making the machine less prone to hacking/virus attacks - in reality all it does is only allow you to download MS approved apps which is a PITA - it can be disabled but not re-enabled and I'm fairly certain most peole will be disabling it so dont go paying extra for it.

Why not ramp it up a bit and look for a classic? HW80, Original 45, Annie 335, FWB Sport - loads to choose from and nice to use something a little different some times.

Fail to see any advance in design whatsoever - it's a bullet, identical to any other bullet in that calibre - take a look at a .22lr bullet then a .22 slug - mmmmmm, see any similarity? Amazing facts yet to be discussed is that they are mosr effective at higher velocity - mmmmmm, is that the sort of velocity that powder burners produce? and have been for decades. Firing a slug (bullet) through an FAC Airgun is no different to firing one through a RF Rifle, the only difference is noise and when you get down to FAC Airgun power levels you can use subs and a mod on a .22lr - cheaper, quieter and you dont need a tank in your handbag. The OP was using .177 slugs - now, fair enough, nobody makes a sub .17 round but there's a very good reason for that - you need velocity to get the full benefit of the small calibre hence the .17HMR or the even more inpressive .17 Fireball ambling along at mere 4000 fps. Now theres a round to shoot Bacon with - if you could find the remains they would most likely be ready cooked.
-
Well TBH, I could think of a thousand better uses for decent Bacon and, whilst a fair amount of my wifes offerings almost demand that I shoot her, her Bacon Rolls are OK. And yes - I have shot pigeons with my HMR and as long as you dont blat them below around 70 yards, most are edible if you so wished even if some would be in the form of Mince. Shot a crow just before christmas at, guessing 60 yards, and could not find a mark on it so carcass damage is not always an issue - if the round had passed through then it would shatter on hitting the ground. Noise is an obvious downside with a .17 with silencers being about as much use as a one legged man at a bum kicking party.
-
Perfect - now go buy a .17hmr - around 2600fps, in theory they will bounce off a pigeons skin ?
-
Think you'll find that with a muzzle energy of under 40ft/lb and a hollow point to boot, how on earth would over penetration be a problem compared to your mentioned smaller projectile travelling at a higher speed. If you have pigeons, in a difficult position to shoot, that are causing damage to one small part of a field, might I suggest a couple of shiney carrier bags tied to the top of a few canes would be far more cost effective than spending £50+ on pellets just to see if they would do the job?
-
But you are trying to wrangle the absolute most from your Airgun at extreme Airgun ranges so power must come into it. You are putting yourself at a disadvantage by the very nature of your choice of weapon - 20 shots till refill? pellets over twice the price of RF ammo? Lets take your 70 yards example - pigeons on Wheat stubble say at 65-75 yards, 20 shots and your empty. Take a look at .22lr CB Longs - 29gr at 700 fps, more than up to the job. And ,yes, I see your point about prices coming down if mass production takes over - but only down to the price of .17HMR and still more expensive than .22lr.
-
Mmmmmm - so over twice the price of a decent .17HMR round (excluding air) and nowhere near the power/range of the HMR = I'm struggling to see the point . Surely, if you want high power/longer range, just buy a £350 .17 HMR?

Can you move the barrel side to side? Have a feeling these have a bolt through the breach faces but a tube between the bolt and the actual barrel/breach axis hole.
-
Never buy pringles when they are on offer - they lack the normal flavouring. Salt and Vinegar Pringles will burn your lips at certain times of the year - they MUST alter the flavouring.
-
Contact evolution and ask if they have any ex demo's in stock or check the bay of plenty for evolution "seconds" - these have been opened and returned for whatever reason and sometimes the original box is missing. Just had a quick look on the bay - put evolution mitre saw in the search and select new (other).

May be because they cant send an FEO to your house to check security measures. -
Cannot understand why people who feel the cold dont just buy heated clothing? On the bay of plenty you can get electric body warmer and trousers for around £40, add the cost of a decent power pack (under £20) and you will be warm all day for a running cost of around 5p/day - even on the lowest setting , wearing my chinese cheapy is like having the sun on your back all day, highest setting is uncomfortable.

New Dog food available at Aldi - in trays at 75p/400g - made by Harrington/Wagg makers. It seems very good quality, firm and visible veg in the mix - my dogs love it, contents are all good with no grain and 60% meat. I'm going to hazard a guess that once people start trying this, Aldi will struggle to produce enough.
-
Try Freshpet from Tesco - it's in the fridge, never ever seen a dog turn it's nose up at it.
-
No need to go over 40mm ojective lens - use medium mounts to keep the scope as low possible - no need also to spend a fortune for a scope at Airgun ranges - Nikko Stirling are my personal favourite but many others are available.
-
IMHO the gun is worth the money even as a collectors piece - the fact that it is in proof is a massive bonus. Chances are that these barrels were built to last and so long as suitable loads are used it should give a lot of pleasure to the new owner.

Are we not about to give the frenchies £28 million to help patrol their coastline in a bid to stem the flow of immigrants. I'm pretty sure that EU regs state that refugees must stay in the first country that they come to - so surely we should be charging the french to ship these free loaders back - not bribing them to do their jobs? I would truly love to buy a boat and patrol the channel armed with a long pole with a spike on the end.
