wymberley
Hi, They have a shop a few miles from me and it's massive. They're fine if it's in stock. Where they can fall down is their delivery forcast for non current stock items. I would ask about availability before ordering and if they have none at present, think twice. Cheers
kennyboy30
bought some prolic boots off them fine no probs
docholiday
I buy just about all my stuff from them, if they have it in stock no problem at all but have had to wait for months for my 6.5 from them, give them a call, doc
njc110381
I'll never shop there again after my experience. I ordered some loading kit from them and gave up on it after 6 months. It was only cheap so didn't bother chasing them for my money back. Over a year later they haven't offered me a refund or sent me the stuff! They're rubbish! By all means buy from them, but make sure 100% that they have it in stock!
Dunkield
These post have been on shooting forums for years, the shops in question area high volume/low margin outfits. They don't have the time or the inclination to update their websites, so give them a call before ordering if you want it in a hurry.. I have been mildly mucked about by The Sportsman but not enough to put me off using them, when I bought my scope off them I made the guy go get it and tap it on the phone to prove it was in stock - which luckily he found amusing. It has been said a million times before, if it wasn't for these outfits we would be paying a lot more for our stuff, as a lot of the bigger players price match them. steve_b_wales
I've had good dealings and good customer relationship with Sportsmans (especially if you speak to Stuart) Unfortunately, it's only with the Exeter store, and not the one nearest me (formerly LITTS, Newport) They have the same 'not bothered if we serve you at all' attitude as Litts used to have. A shame really, but I hope they get their act sorted out.

pigglet
I've found them helpfull regarding info and queries. Regarding mail order I've had a a few bits of them and all have been delivered quickly bar 1 item. A week after ordering it I got a phone cal to tel me it wasn't in stock and wouldn't be for another 6 weeks. Despite that I have and will use them again but I'll check what I want is in first. al4x
you must be one of the lucky ones. same here I've had nothing but good service from them and some bargain products. When people have issues is when they order goods not in stock so that may be the lesson. Order by phone and only order what they have in
deputy dog
Same here. Just bought a gun from there and they were most helpfull on the advisory part of things and always tried to answer any question i put to them about gun or cartidge. Very polite and helpfull. Way better then the old Litts Company. Who only showed you any politeness when you rolled up in a Bently or were spending thousands on one gun. Would recommend to any one who shoots. They got my vote
