Only ever on site for 4 hours or less, get paid very well, enjoy what I do and 4 times a year spend a week in Cologne all fully paid with a fulltime driver. Norrie Posted September 17, 2011 Report Share Posted September 17, 2011 My job takes me all over Scotland....( HGV Driver) and I deliver to lots of farms...and, because of this, I have landed three new fairly local permissions in the last few weeks...I've also made lots of good contacts,. it's amazing how many folks are shooters when you start chatting....and i'm not bad at chatting...LOL. :blink: I'm basically my own boss,as long as the job is done.... and get to meet some crackin folks...money aint too bad either, tho' I'll never be a millionaire, I can afford ammo... jacksdad Posted September 18, 2011 Report Share Posted September 18, 2011 (edited) I am a Plumber and run my own propery maintenance business, then when its quiet, I buy and sell cars Usually got work on the go, make a few quid, and when I've no work, I just enjoy the time off! I get up when I wake up, never use an alarm clock as I get up early anyway but its a great feeling knowing I won't be told to get up! I can work as many hours as I want so get the job done quick, get paid and start another. If anyone gives me grief I don't have to take it, doesn't happen much but when someones being a total **** I can just tell them to stick the job up their #### and walk off The best part of my job? I love the industry I work in and the guys that I deal with every day. I get a bit of shootingfishing, entertainment on the job. Downside - away from home a lot. But the balance works normally.
