Went looking for the pigeons on sunday morning on the field i had 68 off on wednesday. But completly void of pigeons. So went to have a look at some beans that were drilled last thursday. There was a few milling about but nothing worth setting up for so went futher a field to look at some more beans. But also nothing was getting concerned now it was 12 o'clock and had not found any.So went back to the first bean fields and sat and watched for half an hour. There was a steady stream coming from across the road so i thought sod it il have a bash. The field is next to an equestrian centre so i thought id better just inform them and ask if its ok and will not startle the horses.Got out my truck to go to the door and a dog came running from the rear of the property snarling and barking. To say i nearly **** my self is an under statement.I ran for my life and jumped on the bonnet of my truck the dog still intent on getting me even though it looked about 50 years old. Then i heard a voice calling the dog in between fits of laughter.A Young girl emerged from the rear of the property still laughing and very pretty. She said the dog was friendly and thought i was playing. It was one of the funniest things she has seen for a while me with my wellies on run past the window and dive on my truck.Any way she gave me the nod and said the horses will be fine but left her my card just incase she needed to ring :D .So finally set up about 1ish and the birds played ball even though i had to shoot into the sun.Started out with my magnet and 8 plastic shells and ended the day with 103 pigeons 4 jackdaws and a crow so well pleased just hope she has to ring me oneday :D. Think i could have got another hour or so shooting packed in at half 5 but still birds comeing in.Took three trips to the truck to carry everything but well worth it and that first fosters went down a treat :)
