oxfordfowler
8 years ago during my divorce. Guns were in storage with the local RFD for 4 months whilst the house was sold and I lost half (and more) of everything. Kept the guns though. Big Mat
I went a couple of years without shooting due to family problems. Now a gun comes out of the cabinet at least once a week, even if its just to shoot a few cans.
bicykillgaz
Injured my back in beginning of jan and didn't go out again till late march, not sure what was more painfull the back or the lack of shooing! I'd be considering if it was worth keeping my guns after that long though.
Gordon R
About 5 months. My excuse is that I was lying in hospital - near dead - in 2003. I had to beg the doctor for permission to go shooting again. When I was in hospital - a friend brought me a shooting magazine. I saw a Browning XT advertised in it. I decided to buy one - assuming I survived and could walk. I did survive and, on discharge, two friends propped me up in Bamfords, whilst I tried the XT. I then shot DTL at the A6, held up by one friend - and had a straight.

poontang
Longest I went was about 10 weeks after an operation on my arm, as it was in plaster/splint. Generally I'll try and get out once or twice a week. Far too hot for me this weekend though...roll on winter!
drone
20 years, back into it now and appreciating every minute. As I'm nearly 70 things happen at reduced speed but I seem to have so much more time between sighting the quarry, mounting the gun and firing than I did when I was a callow youth of 50. Yesterday, for the first time ever, I missed a pigeon as I'd forgotten to push the safety off; this was very revealing as I never knew I had a flinch! Scully
Due to a family bereavement I once had to sell all my guns, except one( which nobody wanted-well they did if I'd given it away!)a Winchester Model 12 Goose gun, which was too unwieldy for little else other than sitting in a dike bottom waiting for 'fowl,so only shot during the game season. Bloke
25 years! The job, family and bills got in the way. I got well into custom bikes and rallies, but eventually the kids grew up, I was widowed and then I had my driving licence pulled on medical grounds. Going stir crazy, I spotted a clay pigeon ground from the bus one day and CLICK! SGC then FAC later, back to it with a passion, at least 3x per week..
