bevs
just been reading the paper and the forecasters have warned of large amounts of snow, blizzards and freezing temperatures to come this winter.? if this is the case the pigeons could be hit hard. as there's not allot of food about this winter.poor rape and not allot of acorns beach nuts ect.if we get the snow the pigeons may'be hit very hard,.this would affect the large numbers of pigeons,if the snow is around for along time . P~MX
never mind the pigeons if it's to be that bad -- most of us struggled the last winter we'd a lot of snow, snow = no electric, food, travel = hard times, hope the birds get through it too

matone
According to the forecasters, last winter was going to be more severe than the previous one......it wasn`t. Bought a 4x4 and it saw about 15 miles of slushy snow all winter !

P~MX
if the weather forecasters were paid on performance related results they'd get their fingers out and put more effort into the current rubbish they pt out, I check 2/3 weather sites for my forecast and I'd be lucky to have 2 of them with the same results

kdubya
lets think? December/ January middle of winter cold weather, snow ice forecast, yep takes millions in high tech equipment, backed by intensive training of meteorologists to figure that. 955i
I'm hoping for a bit of snow so I can test my invention Modifying an unused car harness so I can hook up a sledge and get the dog to pull kids around/bring shopping back. She will love it (with husky and malamute in her its second nature) and it means I can go longer walks and bring back more shopping than I can fit in my rucksack
