Addison84
Dear all, Im planning on some pigeon shooting before christmas and am wondering what the pigeons favour this cold time of year? I know that they have probably flocked together by now and probably should be on sugar beets and winter rape. Where have you found your birds? I'm in Kent so any info on the local area would be great! Many thanks Adam

The Essex Hunter
There was around a 1000 on a very long strip of sun flowers this morning, they were planted as a feature at a horticultural centre and now it is a feeding centre for the pigeons. This strip is right next to a rape field so they can feed all day with out being disturbed due to it being on the centres land! TEH

Kes
Not seen them on rape - no acorns about so, as you say feeding in large flocks - the largest I have seen for a while. Tend to be feeding on late cropped wheat and barley stubbles with loads of ferals. Good hunting
