The things we did in a bid to look cool

Whilst trawling the web I came across this photo - http://www.maniacworld.com/four-popped-collars-cool.html and it reminded me of when I was 17 or 18 and walking down Rocky Hill in Maidstone one night wearing my shades. I thought I looked the dogs and my swagger most probably conveyed that but in reality I probably looked a complete tool.

 

So let's have a bit of honesty here guys. What did you do in your younger years in a bid to look cool but now has you cringing on reflection? I can't wait to hear some of the responses.

ok i wil be honest :rolleyes:

we used to wear grolsch beer bottle tops on our shoes. :ninja:

something to do with the pop duo bros i think. absoloutely stupid but it was the in thing at the time :no:

I hate to admit it but me too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a gay lord ha ha ha ha. Me and my mucker used to pinch the bottles from the back of the pub near us and sell them for a quid a pair. We used to make bout a tenner each a week which in 1988 was great as we could buy 22 pellets and black widows with our ill gotten gains

ah, those were the days. webley tempest and bsa meteor everywhere. maksman pellets in boxes and tins of eley wasp. cheap as chips. :good:

painted my doc martens gold and had my hair cut like david bowie on aladdin sane album,also bought some tartan pants so i would look like one of the bay city rollers.music was rubbish but all the girls liked the look.....didnt work though i looked a right...

I had a centre parting like a set of curtains down to my shoulders when I was 15/16 just like Sean Ryder out of the happy Mondays, I thought I was the dogs dangles but I looked a right tit ha ha , I'm bald as a coot now ha ha ha
