Pity they don't do local pick ups, just down the road from me.

Yes it is,they are on a little ind.estate,i would like to go too and have a mooch around. It's ok this mail order set up,but there is nothing like seeing the item before you buy it.It's a lot of hassle if you don't like it,and have to return it,then wait for another, you also haven't seen.

Similar experience. The sign of a good business in the 21st century - prompt response to email.

Sadly - after a very poor customer service experience, I will never use this outfit again. All is fine and well when things go right, but when they go wrong, they treat you like a fool, and do not adhere to Distance Selling Regulations. Never again. I'm sure 99% of people have good experiences though - sadly, I'm one of the 1% where they sent me a faulty product, I returned it, and then they sent me the product again with the same fault - and this is after claiming to have 'checked' it and refusing to acknowledge the fault. I returned that again and they claim they never received it. Quite possible if for not the fact that they offered to refund me anyway if I left positive feedback on eBay - a bit suspicious to say the least. So there you have it - i'm out of pocket through no fault of my own.

On the other hand, I had a fault with my Beretta shotgun slip recently. I took it back to the RFD where I bought it, and he is arranging a replacement for me (they are out of stock). I suppose you get the service you pay for.

Nobody is perfect and mistakes can happen but that doesn't sound good, my experiences with JSR have been good, even when problems have developed. :good:

I have had loads of them over the years. Going back to the 80s.

I have had Scopes. Pistols. Rifles. Of them before the laws changed.

They always give outstanding Service when they were based in Keighley.

And you could ring them to place an order.

Since they have gone Email. Internet based only they must be losing a lot of trade.

The last time i managed to speak to them i asked them what the hell is going on.

I was told they don`t want there staff losing time taking orders over the phone.

Or dealing with customers with faulty goods. When they should be picking and packaging.

I was that pis*** with them i haven`t had anything of them in over four years.

I too have had good experiences. I bought my gunsafe from them (though that came direct from Brattonsound - they just took the order). Just takes one bad transaction to sour a business relationship

My personal business philosophy is customer is King - never argue with them, and treat them like you would like to be treated yourself. You might lose out on one transaction, but in the long term you gain. As much as I despise Amazon.co.uk's tax avoidance and other chicanery - they have this philosophy down to a tee - one of the reasons they are so successful. Sadly this doesn't seem to be JSR's philosophy.

Had a young lad selling a Stealth this week on Facebook using my pic!!

I asked him if it was the actual gun in the pic YES was the reply!! He got a shock when I proved he was a liar and probably scammer

He was (by his own admission) only 14 years old too, a crime in itself :/ When he realised he'd been outed the little *** tried threatening me :lol: He then removed the thread when everyone started on at him!!

I hate it when people lose money to these fraudsters  I was done out of a Crosman pistol over on the Hunting life forum so I know what it feels like but I was lucky, I was only conned out of £40, the scammer was a company director though :o Mind you, the company was listed as 'Daddys'

John :)
