will_gleave
I refuse to venture out new years eve, mainly because the 3 locals i drink in seem to think its acceptable to charge admission on new years eve.
kdubya
one night I can't stand I agree, I love a pint but new years eve is always a quiet night in for the wife and me,lock the doors and leave the once a year lunnies to it. flynny
Same as mate, I like to sit down when I'm having a booze, not stand up and que at the bar for 20 mins, then have nowhere to sit and relax with my ale( and pay for entering the pub) Been there and done that ,can't be arrised know a days, will prob invite a few of the neighbours round ,spark up the wood burner and open a bottle of single malt, Atb Flynny Edited December 30, 2013 by flynny

hedd-wyn
Myself and Mrs Wyn are going to give the parties a miss this year. Traditionally we have a blinding sesh down the local on New Years Day, but this year it can **** right off.
la bala
i am in a small spanish village, so i will be eating 12 grapes on the strokes of midnight as is custom, and then a few glasses of something that will most likely leave me with a headache on new years day. feliz ano nuevo Edited December 30, 2013 by la bala

Blunderbust
Quiet night in form me as the wife is Night Shift but I will be seeing the bells in with a beer and a couple drams. I hope you all have a great time no matter how you see the new year in and I hope that 2014 is the best ever for every member of PW, their family and friends. Rexcernui
Staying in and doing lobster and venison with a nice robust chianti then getting up early to walk the greyhounds somewhere blustery and cold. I spend enough time away from my wife and my home so new years eve /day I am going to be where I want to be doing what I want to do. Costs alot less than a night out as well. daz2202
I also have a problem with paying £15 at the door of my local that I frequent about 100 times per year for free. Night in. Maybe a couple of beers and early night
