Scully
UKIP ,in my opinion, do not have answers to many problems that this country is facing but at the same time they are the party that are pressing for a major shake up in they way that this country is run-so the voters need to decide if we carry on as usual, further in debt and a joke in Europe not to mention a defence capability that would struggle to keep the Scots from invading or should we try something new. It going to take a fair shake up to get our nation back on its feet and a lot of people will get hurt-but medicine rarely tastes nice and we have a duty to fix the embarrassment of a society that we have created. You get my vote Nigel, not cos my dad voted for you or I was born on a farm in Bucks but because you dare to be different.Good post.

VikingRebel
thats ok he best be pm then just cos he likes shooting and fishing dont mean ukip can run the country Maybe they can't, but I don't think Labour or the Tories can run the country either. And I don't know about you, but I would much rather have an incompetent government who supports my right to shoot and fish in peace, than an incompetent government who treats me like some potential domestic terrorist. Lampwick
I quite like Farage BUT........................unfortunately it will be Conservative voters who give him the nod and further split the majority of the parties terrifyingly leading to a Labour victory for 4 more years of communist leanings.Shame the Tories didn't recognise this and listen to their voters then!!! Too many lies and self interests. Still time to pull one out of the hat! So what would it need for you? Ps the "vote UKIP is a vote for Labour" tactic is wearing thin with me. Maybe it is the case but hey if that's what it takes for a real change and for them to listen to us then so be it!!! I'm in this for the long haul not a short term political career! kent
You know the fact that the guy is into the shooting a fishing agenda weighs very big with me ( if I couldn't do these things then I shouldn't care a jot about much else) poor and more fishing / shooting I can handle. Were is our vote on foxhunting? Labour scares the life out of me, that's the only thing in all this for me now! The economic policy of ruination - if it happens I will likely be saying goodbye to the UK silverspoon socialism from a load of power hungry liars out for themselves (the most working class leader we have had in recent times was John Major who followed the second Margret Thatcher). If you want more evidence of Socialism and greed look towards Scargill and his in my opinion crazy/ corruption lead fight for crazy retirement benefits . My first thoughts are there are too many wack jobs in UKIP, now I am thinking about the wack jobs inside Labour, conservatives and Liberals and thinking on.. Chances of Labour getting a seat in the Ribble valley, with our MP up on multiple rape and sexual assault charges on other guys? Still very poor to non existent. I still feel the party is not yet mature but a UKIP / Cons alliance with very few Labour seats might be the very best thing for us. If UKIP won, its a massive indication of how fed up the UK populous is with Labour and Cons so it would still have my support, it might be time to take the medicine and re-build the UK, its been done before elsewhere- Heck look at Russia and it change from communism to pure capitalism a more extreme example of economics you will not find
bruno22rf
overandunder2012-I can live with policies from the 60's-we had enjoyed 30 years of prosperity and led the world in military technology as well as being a nation to be feared-we also had full employment. henry d-Is there a point to your comment? or am I missing something
old rooster
As has been previously explained; Farage doesn't really want his party to be stuck with running the country, he's bright enough to realise that they aren't up to that at this stage. Returning to an age where we had a national identity, employment, a tough attitude to crime etc. would suit most of us who have experienced that sort of life, those too young to have done so will also possibly be unable to see how badly the rot has set in over the past 40 years. If you'd asked a few of us who were in their late teens back then if we thought our country could be dragged down to the point we are at now we would probably have said "not without being defeated in a pretty serious war" If Farage can at least continue the pressure to get us out of Europe that will be a great thing for him and his lot to have achieved in itself. When the vast majority of a supposedly democratic society want to have the opportunity to voice their opinions on a serious topic like continued EU membership it has to make one wonder where the democracy comes in to this?? I appreciate that the term "democracy" basically refers to the right to elect those who rule and supposedly look out for our interests but when ALL parties put up pre election manifestos that they woefully fail to deliver on surely that is another sign of failure. Another term of liebore government would be the death knell for us now. Why not vote monster raving loony, they are different too. We had enough raving lunacy under bliar and broon to last us a very long lifetime old bean!!
Fisherman Mike
Personally I think the guy is an idiot and his party change their manifesto like the wind, that is when they have one... As it has been said in the media lately if Farage becomes nice and intelligent who are all the nasty idiots going to vote for. ? UKIP is just a pseudo communist party....the National front dressed in a suit.. God help us all if they ever got to govern. Just my opinion of course. Thats why I'll be voting UKIP Im fed up of not having a say and being ignored, time for change time for UKIP.

I don't think you can pull the national front card one bit, who was it who said we should take more genuine refugees fleeing Syria? UKIP! Britain has always done this in the past take Uganda for instance in the 70's and he was the only one who spoke up about it. Thing is we are running out of room and many of our resident British born population need weaning off benefits after second and third generation claimants but we haven't been tackling that enough (indeed I think Labour have been actively encouraging it with their past policies of freeloading as these people have a vote and like those who promise more hand outs get votes from these lazy morons). Alfred
Stuck between a rock and a hard place, I don't have faith in any party at all. Maybe a huge UKIP vote will shake up enough people and make them realise how unhappy we all are. The socialists are rotten to the core, people like Scargil are vermin and thankfully his kind have finally been exposed for what they are. Labour appear to be a hollow party propped up by champagne swilling fat cats and greedy union bosses with gravy pouring down their chins. Anyone that votes for them is clearly stupid. But like I said I don't have any faith in anyone else either at the moment.
